Large Double room in Brixton/Herne Hill

Large and spacious double bedroom available in a terraced house in Brixton, pretty much equidistant between Herne Hill and Brixton stations, both are about 10 min walk. Brockwell park is literally at the end of the road. Location is great. Not only is it close to tube and rail, but buses stop at the end of the road and run 24/7. It is only a 2 min walk from Brockwell Park. The Lido and the gym are conveniently located in the park, many shops, bars and restaurants are nearby, this includes the fantastic Brixton village, Brixton pop up, as well as many Herne Hill eateries. Ritzy cinema and the library are about 8 min walk. O2 Academy is 15 mins away. Plenty of yoga places locally too. For car owners, there is residential parking available, so you can park on the street, providing you buy a residential permit. If you cycle, you can safely store the bike in the back garden.

About the house…
It is a 3 bedroom, terraced Victorian house, located on a very quiet road, which is just off the Water lane. The house has recently been fully refurbished, is very light and airy, spacious, homely and welcoming. Very friendly area, quiet road and very nice neighbours. There is also a lovely garden, with a space for summer barbeques and home grown herbs (which you are very welcome to get involved with), as well as for lazy afternoons spent on the garden lounger! The bedroom overlooks the garden and it currently contains a double bed, double wardrobe, a shelving unit, chair and the set of drawers. However, there is flexibility in terms of the layout and the furniture.

There is one large bathroom which is shared, it has a large bath and a separate shower. Kitchen and the dining room, as well as the spacious lounge and the garden are also shared. Mod cons include a washing machine, dishwasher, coffee machine, air fryer, microwave.

About me…
You would be sharing with one professional female, 51 year old. Very friendly and welcoming, but also like to spend time alone, reading, chilling etc. I enjoy the quiet and the zen atmosphere of the home. My hobbies include running, cycling, yoga, being outdoors. Also listening to music, dancing, visits to galleries, theatre, exhibitions, cinema.

What I am looking for…
I am looking for a considerate housemate, professional, someone who is mature, kind, independent, respectful of others and their space. Someone who enjoys sharing home with others, who likes people and is looking for a home rather than a bedsit. Being clean and tidy is very important too. It would be nice to socialise from time to time, perhaps share a movie, a meal and a glass of vino, as well as have our own space. This house is very quiet (no parties), but also a very friendly and welcoming home. This would definitely not suit a party person.
