Description
My housemate is moving on to pastures new in July and my cat and I are looking for a friendly, clean, tidy, respectful and conversational person to take his place and join us in our humble Brixton abode.
The flat has two good-sized double rooms. Yours is the larger one and comes with a double bed with room for a desk and tonnes of wardrobe space. There’s a shared open plan living room/kitchen area with a good sized garden, a utility basement including washer/dryerj and good sized bathroom with bath and shower.
The flat was part-furnished but in the living room there’s a dining table, TV, drinks cabinet all the fixtures/white goods you'd need in the kitchen including a dishwasher.
The flat is in the middle of Brixton and Clapham on a quiet road just off Acre Lane. We are seconds from a large Lidl and other shops. There is a large Tesco a few minutes away but I am also happy to drive to larger supermarkets too. Clapham North (Northern Line) and Brixton (Victoria and South Eastern) are both a short are within a 10 minute walk.
We’re also close to great pubs, markets, restaurants, takeaways and green spaces too.
About me: I am a 30-year-old former Scouser turned Southerner and work for the for a large FMCG in Communications and Press. I’m in the office 3-4 days a week. Just like every single SpareRoomer - you can rely on me to be tidy, respectful and laid back. On cooking, the dishes I do like to cook, I do well, and the odd bake here and there and would be keen to share this with you. Naturally, like most, Deliveroo can also be a semi-regular occurrence (no judging here!).
About Otis: he is a 8-year-old friendly and chatty Bengal who a friend and I rescued during the pandemic. He is very cuddly, vocal, likes chin rubs, boxes and treats.
About you: I'd like to live with someone who wouldn't mind catching up after work, cooking together or making some plans for the weekend but I'm also happy leaving you to your own devices. My only asks are that you respect our home, clean up after yourself and like cats!
If you do like the sound of the above and me, we’ll taking over our existing tenancy for 12 months.
Move in date would be 7 July but if you need earlier, let me know and I’ll see what we can do.
The rent is £1,300 per month. Bills are split 50/50, you can expect your share to be around £105, including internet and council tax.
