Description
Large double bedroom available in three bedroom flat in Brixton. The room is available to rent from August 1st.
Our ideal housemate is a professional woman aged between 28 – 35. No students.
The room is unfurnished but the bed, mattress, and wardrobe can be kept if needed. However, some of the bed slats may need to be replaced.
The house has a large living room and decent-sized kitchen, in addition to a bathroom with a large bath and overhead shower which you’d be sharing with one other person – Charlotte.
The housemates you’d be living with are Mollie, 33, who works in insurance, and Charlotte, 30, who is a journalist. We’re pescatarian and vegetarian respectively, but aren’t opposed to living with someone who isn’t.
We’ve lived together for four years and while we aren’t necessarily a flat that regularly goes out together as we’re often busy with our work and friends, we have been known to enjoy the odd flatmate date night. We’re also very social in the flat and definitely enjoy a chat and a catch-up in the kitchen or watching TV together in the evening whilst having dinner.
We like to keep the flat clean and tidy but also won’t get annoyed if you leave your washing up until after you’ve finished eating. We’re looking for someone who is like-minded and contributes fairly to the chores that come with communal living; i. e. remembering to take the bins out, buying your share of toilet roll and cleaning products, and generally just making sure communal areas are kept decent.
Charlotte works from home on average four days a week and Mollie works from home an average one or two days. The room has plenty of space for a desk and it’s not a problem if you’re a hybrid/home worker, however, we would ask that you work from your room rather than any of the communal areas of the flat when other housemates are also working from home.
Rent is £840 a month plus bills, which typically come to around £100 - £140, depending on the time of year. Rent is due on the first of the month and the deposit is £810.
If you’re interested, please drop us a message and tell us a little bit about yourself. We’ll aim to reply to everyone but as you can appreciate, that might not always be possible depending on how many messages we receive.
We’re aiming to hold viewings the week commencing July 15.
