Description
Our current flatmate is moving into her own place, so we are looking for a new flatmate to join our cosy flatshare at the top of Brixton Hill.
The room up for grabs is a top-floor furnished bedroom. It is very cosy and cute with a built in cupboard and shelves. As you will see, it is not the biggest room, but you will pay less in rent and there is plenty of space in the living areas for you to use and store your things.
The rest of the flat is charming (if I do say so myself) and spacious. We have a large kitchen with a full dining room table, dishwasher, airfyer and all the other necessary appliances. We have a small balcony with some (struggling) veggies and flowers. It’s large enough for two people to enjoy, one if you take the sun lounger outside.
We have a lovely bathroom that our landlord recently updated and re-tiled. It has a nice bathtub (not your typical grubby house share tub that you’d never actually use). We have a rain shower and plenty of storage for all your skin and hair care products too!
Finally, we have a spacious lounge where we all like to hang out after work and binge series together (or, let’s be honest, watch MAFS or Love Island every night for two months a year).
The flat itself is in a convenient location at the top of Brixton Hill. You can walk to the Brixton tube station in ~20 or grab one of several buses that will get you here in half the time. You also have easy access to Clapham South either on foot or by bus; same for Clapham Common and Clapham North. We also have three small grocery shops within walking distance, as well as several gyms, a few coffee shops and, of course, Brockwell Park, Clapham Common, and all the high streets in between. We have a great and attentive landlord, too.
We are looking for a housemate who will stick around for a while. I did describe this as a flatshare, but really, it’s our home, and we want someone who will love it as much as we do! Harriet is 28 and I (Hannah) am 33 and we both work full time, but we do like to spend time together on the weekends and in the evenings, whether we’re watching our programmes, getting a deliveroo, or going for the occasional brunch/dinner. We have our own lives, too, of course, but it would be so nice to find someone who wants to socialise with us and make this their home, too!
The rent is £687, which includes all bills and a fortnightly cleaner. This may increase if energy bills go up again, but last time our payments only went up by ~£20/pp.
We would love to meet you in person to show you around and answer any questions. And we hope to fill the room for a mid-September move-in, although we can be a bit flexible on that. For the right person, we are willing to adjust!
Send us a message if you’re interested and we’ll set up a good time for all of us to meet!
