Description
VIEWINGS PROCESS FOR YOU TO GET TO KNOW EACH OTHER: As you’re moving into a newly formed 6 bedroom house, there’s an open house viewing and if you like the place you can stay on for a while and have a chat to others that are interested and get to know them. Then you can then let me know who you got on well with and could see yourself living with and we can create a like-minded group that way.
I’ve done this before, and it works really well; this is how the most recent housemates met and now some of them have moved in to smaller flat shares together.
THE HOUSE
I’m a live-out private Landlady looking for tenants who are aged 24+ to share this lovely large Victorian house with a lounge, 3 bathrooms, and a garden. The previous tenants have been living in the house for quite some time and therefore felt it was time for them to move on so I took the opportunity, whilst the house was empty, to redecorate the whole place.
AGE RANGE
Even though it’s a large house share, the previous tenants were older, so there was a more grown up feel to the place with house brunches and dinners (rather than late nights and big house parties). They didn’t know each other when they first moved in but got on really well because they were considerate about noise and tidying up. There’s a cleaner every fortnight and housemates contributed to a house kitty for communal products which made it all work.
So, I'm asking for a slightly older age range to try and ensure that the new housemates will be like-minded so that they get on in the same way.
DATE OF VIEWINGS
Viewings are on Saturday 12th of October between 2-4pm. If you're free to view at that time, please contact me providing a little bit about yourself (e. g. age, job, reason for moving, type of people you'd like to live with etc) and I'll get back to you with the address and a specific time to come along.
WFH DESKS
There are some rooms which have Work From Home desks in the picture and others that don’t BUT all rooms easily have the space for a WFH desk which I'll provide if you'd like one. When you come to viewings I'll show you the size options you have.
LOCATION
The house is in a great location - between Clapham North (8 mins walk) and Brixton (9 mins walk) tube stations. Living between two tube line stations makes getting anywhere really easy, and previous tenants usually caught the tube from Brixton which meant they got a seat and avoided the massive rush at Clapham North in the morning.
NEARBY
On Acre Lane there are lots of cafes, bars, restaurants, convenience stores, and take-aways as well as a Lidl and Tesco Superstore. Also, the Hope and Anchor round the corner has one of the best beer gardens in London. Clapham High Street, Brixton Village, and Clapham Common, are all within walking distance.
BILLS
The previous tenants said bills were an additional £80 per month per person (approx.) for Gas, Electricity, Council Tax, Broadband, and TV Licence.
MOVING IN DATE
From 19th October.
OTHER INFO
- 6 month contract (you’ll sign individual contracts so you will only be liable for your own rent)
- Deposits is 5 weeks’ rent
- Looking for non-smokers
- Sorry no pets please
- I’m looking for professional sharers who earn at least 2.5 times the rent (so that rent and bills can be paid comfortably)
- Age 25 and over
- Really sorry no students or couples sharing a room (because the HMO Licence only allows 6 people)
Thanks,
Shehnaz
