Looking for a new flatmate to move into this 2 bed flat with me in central Brixton, about 5 mins walk from both the tube and overground stations.
The room comes furnished with the bed and wardrobe, and the bedside table is mine so can leave it in there or take it out if you prefer. The drawers which are currently randomly in the bathroom also were in the room so can be moved back in lol. comes furnished with the bed, as a brown wardrobe and brown chest of drawers.
The flat also has a shared kitchen/living space including washing machine and dishwasher, and a bathroom with a shower. It’s a 2 bed flat and the bedrooms are down the corridor from one another so there is some privacy.
The flat is on the 1st floor so there’s 1 flat below and 1 flat above. The location is great, super close to Brixton Road, both stations, and Brockwell Park. I’ve lived here 4 years now and love the location, there’s loads around and the rest of London is very accessible on the Victoria line.
I’m just looking for the usual things in a flatmate, someone who is clean and tidy, friendly and sociable but also happy for us to do our own thing. I’m a social worker so I’m out of the house every work day but usually home in the evenings, I see friends a lot on Friday and Saturday nights, then spend Sundays watching reality tv and hating my life and the cycle begins again! Would probably prefer someone who didn’t wfh every single day but it’s not a dealbreaker. Dealbreakers are no tories no racists must be LGBTQ+ friendly xxx.
The tenancy will renew on 04/01/2025- it’s a 1 year tenancy with 6 month break clause and is managed by Keating Estates. However my current flatmate is keen to move out asap to save some money as she is going travelling, so may be able to take over from her a bit sooner if all agreed by Keatings! They have asked that the new tenant earns at least £27000 per year and is willing to agree to the initial inventory from when I moved in (I can share this w you). References would also be needed and the lettings agent will complete a credit check.
Full rent for the flat is £1800 per month - we have been splitting this way as my room is a lot smaller than the one available.
Bills are excluded, currently each:
- Council Tax £72.50
- Water £16.00
- Wifi £15.50
- Gas/Electricity maybe around £30/40 each?
