This room is a really sunny room. Especially so in the morning and earlier part of the day. Currently the gender mix is 4 males 1 female. In order to get back to a more even mix a female applicant would be preferred.
The room is on the first floor of a house in a tree-lined road only 5 mins walk from Brixton centre. Underground stn, Ritzy cinema, Brixton Theatre, Brixton Rec Centre, Tate Library and many other attractions.
The location is excellent for public transport including very early and very late tubes and all night buses. The address is within Zone 2 travel zone.
The location is also very good for running. There is a lovely park nearby, Brockwell Park. For those who are really brave it has a famous outdoor swimming pool, Brockwell Lido. For the less courageous Brixton Recreation Centre is only 5 mins walk away.
There are 5-6 other people in the house. It is important to have enough social skills to make this a tolerable experience. The most important of these “skill” is to wash up and stack away your dishes and pots and pans after cooking in the kitchen. Other key skills are making sure the bins go out for collection each week and keeping noise levels down after midnight.
The other people in the house are generally polite and friendly. The house vibe is respectful to each other without being over-chummy.
In the house there are 2 toilets, 1 bathroom, 1 shower-room.
The kitchen is quite large. It has a six person dining table. There is a small patio-garden area at the back of the house. The kitchen and the garden-patio are the main areas for socialising. The house does not have a separate common room.
The house is bicycle-friendly. Bikes can be brought through the house and stored safely at the back.
Short term applications may be considered .
Bed in photos is a single but could be made a double.
Gas and electricity are additional to the rent quoted. Expect about £30 - £40 pcm. Broadband, TV license, Water Rates are included in rent quoted.
The landlord is a resident landlord. He is often away. He has separate kitchen facilities.
