Quiet sunny room by park

Hello! We have recently moved into this spacious family house in a quiet gated development right beside Brockwell Park. I'm a writer/filmmaker dividing my time between here and France, with one daughter, 26, who is going away to study. We have 2 spare bedrooms which are rented to lodgers. We’re looking for a quiet, friendly lodger without too much stuff as it’s not a huge room, and we’re still unpacking boxes! Our lodgers have always been very happy with us (we’ve moved from very nearby).

The room is a light single room (7ft9 x 8ft8) on the second floor, that gets lovely afternoon sun. It would suit someone who wants a quiet home from home. There's a chest of drawers, hanging space, new carpeting, double glazed window. I can supply bedding.

You have sole use of the bathroom on the same floor, with bath and shower; and use of kitchen with washing machine. All bills included, fast wifi.

We are one minute from the entrance to Brockwell Park, with its huge outdoor swimming pool, tennis courts, membership gym, 5km running circuit and cafe.

Great transport links:

Brixton tube (Victoria line, and easy transfer to Northern line at Stockwell) is a 12 minute walk or 5 min bus ride. Trains to Victoria (8 min), Green Park (11 min), Oxford Circus (14 min), Waterloo or Charing Cross (20 mins).

Herne Hill train station is 8 minutes walk through the park - direct trains to Blackfriars (10 min) and St Pancras International (22 min).

Tulse Hill train station (12 mins walk) - direct to London Bridge (17 mins) or East Croydon (change there for Gatwick airport).

Lots of good buses. From
Brixton to the house, take the No 2, 432 or 415 to Craignair Road.
