Stunning En-suite room in creative family house

Hi, this is Dyana. I live with my 11 yo son. We have been renting rooms on Airbnb for 3 years in our beautiful 5 rooms Victoria house in Brixton. We want to try now to find the right people who could stay with us more permanently.

I am an artist, queer, intersectional feminist and grassroots organiser. I work in the arts both as an art practitioner, curator as well as a birth and postnatal doula. My son is a wonderful young person, creative and mature for his age.
We spend a lot of time outside of the house for work/school but we like to have quiet and replenishing evenings and weekends at home.
We are also happy to be sociable and engage in chats and spend time together with a future lodgers, when and if they will be happy to do so.

This is our home and a special house to be in. At times, the living room houses workshops and activities related to healing and creative practices. The house is full of art, and we see it as a house gallery project.

The room we are renting is a beautiful double room facing the garden, bright with a pristine private bathroom, a wall closet and has its own floor. which gives it a very private feeling to it. A dedicated fridge is also available.

The house is a heaven from the bustle of London life and we like to keep it a tranquil place, especially in the late evenings. Only 2 minutes was from bus stops and 10 min from Brixton and Clapham North tube station. 15min tube ride to the centre and very well connected to any London areas.

We are looking for a quiet and responsible person, someone that shares our values and that is happy to co-create a nourishing and respectful environment. The large and contemporary Kitchen and the beautiful garden are available to use. The living room will be a shared space as well, however there might be times when that is not available if I am working from home or hosting workshops.

Having guests in the house will be negotiated once we have agreed on what feels safe and comfortable for everyone at the house.

Bills are included in the price, including fast internet and council taxes but a right percentage of contribution towards the gas might be required in winter months.

We have a lovely and friendly female cat called Kira.

* Please note we have a self contained studio loft space which will still be rented on Airbnb. This is located at the top of the house on the third floor. The loft guests have their own kitchen and bathroom so you'd have minimum contact with them and you will be basically sharing the house only with me and my son..
