Double room in social maisonette in Brixton

Hiya! We have a double room available in our lovely three-bed maisonette in Brixton

The room
The room will be available from 25th February, as our current flatmate is moving in with his partner. It’s a great-sized, furnished double with beautiful hardwood floors and a sash window that lets in plenty of light. The room comes with a (brand new!) bed, a chest of drawers, and a built-in wardrobe with a curtain.
Rent is £932 per month, excluding bills, which usually come to around £150 per person during winter. The deposit is £883.

The flat
The maisonette is spread over three floors. The ground floor is the entrance, the first floor has our kitchen/living area, balcony, bathroom, the available room, and Josepha’s room. Pippa’s room is on the top floor.
We have a spacious kitchen/living room with lots of storage, a new fridge, and a dishwasher. There’s a big sofa and TV where we love watching things together. The balcony gets lovely morning sun and is currently home to some plants and herbs. With east-, south-, and west-facing windows, the flat is filled with natural light throughout the day.
Location-wise, it’s ideal: about a 10-minute walk to both Brixton and Clapham North stations, with plenty of shops, cafés, and bars nearby. Our landlady is responsive and quick to sort out any repairs.

The people
You’d be living with Pippa (27) and Josepha (26), both working professionals. We enjoy unwinding together in the evenings with some silly TV, or having a chat over a cup of tea and an almond croissant. Pippa loves team sports, theatre, community volunteering and last-minute plans with friends. Josepha loves running, Cuban salsa dancing, and hosting dinner parties, and often has friends popping by that live down the road. 
Overall, we both enjoy spending time in the shared spaces and having people over, so we’re looking for someone who’s happy to be part of that.

What we’re looking for
We’re ideally looking for another gal (though not a must), aged 25+ to early 30s, and who is a professional. While this isn’t a party house, we really value a friendly, sociable home. This isn’t an anonymous flatshare — we’d love someone who wants to hang out, contribute to the space, look out for one another, and make it feel like home together.
