Description
A bright double bedroom with private bathroom is available on the top floor of a well-maintained terraced house in a quiet residential street in Brixton.

The room comes with its own private bathroom located on the same floor. While it is not directly en-suite (no internal door), the bathroom is immediately next to the bedroom and is used exclusively by the tenant, with shower, toilet and sink cabinet.
Included in the room:
- The bed and mattress. The bed’s got 4 big storage drawers.
- 2 bedside tables (like the white one on the photos)
- The white chest of drawers
- The wardrobe
The house has five bedrooms in total and is currently home to four friendly professional women aged 23–31. It’s a sociable and welcoming household where everyone chats, occasionally goes to the pub or spends time together while also respecting each other’s independence and privacy.
The house includes:
- A shared living room with TV
- A large, well-equipped kitchen (oven, dishwasher, gas hob, washing machine) with a dining table
- A private patio (smoking permitted outside only)
There is a cleaner who comes every other week to clean the communal areas (£25 per person, fortnightly). If you’d like your room or bathroom cleaned as well, this can be arranged directly with her at additional cost.
Rent: £975 per month
Bills: Approximately £100 per month (gas, electricity, water, Wi-Fi)
Cleaner: £25 every two weeks
The tenancy is professionally managed by Foxtons. The deposit is held in a protected deposit scheme and your name will be transferred in accordance with the scheme’s process. You’d have to pay the deposit directly to me (please note that I paid 1225£ and when I moved in but could be different, to work out with agent)
The location is excellent! Brixton is vibrant and full of great bars, cafés and restaurants. The town centre is around a 10-15 minute walk away, with excellent transport links: a lot of buses, the Victoria line and Brixton train station. Herne Hill train station is a 15 min walk. Brockwell park is only 5 min away. Clapham is also round the corner. There is a big Sainsbury’s and a local Sainsbury’s 5 min away. Parking permits can be requested if needed.
The room will be free to move in on the 3rd of March, but please do let me know if you’d like to move in before, I may be able to make it happen.
It’s a genuinely lovely house with a friendly atmosphere and a great sense of community, even neighbours occasionally get together for drinks in the street. I’ve loved living here, but I’m moving closer to my work.
The room would suit a clean, considerate professional looking for a sociable yet balanced home.
