Description

We have a lovely cosy double bedroom available within a 3 bed house with a shared living room, shared kitchen and a front garden in SW2.

The room is on the second floor at the back of the house with a window looking out on New Park Road. The room is away from the main road so it’s quieter. Although the window isn’t massive it gets great natural light and is fitted with a blackout blind from IKEA.

There is a large built in wardrobe, a large double bed and wooden standing wardrobe. There’s some shelving put up for books, photos etc. The room is carpeted with a sliding door.

The property has a front gate which opens into a small garden/storage space where we currently keep our bikes and have some garden furniture for the summer days/nights.

The landlord is incredibly hands off and lets us make all major decisions regarding the house, however has fixed things when needed. For example, we had an issue recently in which the toilet broke and a new one was installed same-day.
A note from our leaving housemate:
“You will be living with 2 absolutely incredible people; Ayesha who works in fashion & football and Nat who works in higher education. Both are very easy going, fun, friendly and reliable. I’ve lived with them for years and have loved every second of it - they’re excellent housemates to have.”

Plenty of excellent cafes, restaurants, charity shops and takeaways around the area - particularly Bakers Dozen Jamaican restaurant which is a slightly down the road. There are lots of corner shops and supermarkets in the area as well, one of which stays open until 2am every night (3am on Saturday).

The New Park Road bus stop is right next to the house - this is an extremely well connected bus stop which brings you all over London and to multiple major tube stops, as well as buses directly into central London.

- 8 minute bus to Brixton station (20 min walk)
- 10 minute bus to Streatham hill railway station (15 min walk)
- 12 minute walk to the famous Brockwell Park
- 18 minute walk from the Ritzy cinema
- 20 minute walk from Brixton market
- 4 minute walk from a Sainsbury’s
- 5 minute walk to a Tesco
- 5 minute walk to the closest pharmacy
- Multiple corner shops, cafes and restaurants within a 3 minute walk of the front door.
