Description
I’m in the process of buying a split-level flat in Brixton (completion aiming for mid-June), and I’m looking for a like-minded flatmate to move in where we can have some fun, enjoy living together and not just co-exist in the same space.
Originally, a friend was going to move in with me but sadly he is having to move back to Australia 😢 so now I’m looking for someone new to share this fresh start.
The Flat:
- Split-level flat on a quiet residential street
- Around a 15-minute walk to Brixton centre
- Your room will be unfurnished, so you can make it completely your own
The flat itself will also start unfurnished — I’ll be sorting sofa and shared furniture once I have a confirmed completion date, but there may be a couple of weeks at the start where it’s a bit minimalistic chic
Moving In:
- Target move-in: mid-June (not finalised yet)
- Some flexibility will be needed, but hopefully won't be wildly different
The vibe I'm looking for:
Not looking for a “flatmate” in the strictly transactional sense. I want someone I actually get on with — chats in the kitchen, spontaneous pub trips, the occasional “we said one drink” that absolutely wasn’t one drink.
Equally, I’m not trying to live in a 24/7 party house, just a good balance of social and chill.
The aim is to slowly transform the space into somewhere cosy, warm, and welcoming. In the future I'd ideally like to have the bathroom and kitchen redone so that's also on the cards but not for a while (that shit is expensiveee).
About Me:
I’m pretty outgoing, like being busy, and rarely say no to a plan. You’ll usually find me:
- At the pub with friends
- Out and about finding new spots in London
- At festivals/raves when the occasion calls for it
- On the sofa having a yap and watching something easy
- Or cheffing it up, occasionally going all out decadence
About You:
- 27+ only
- Social, sound, and up for a laugh
- Wants more than just a transactional living situation
- Respectful of the space and treats it like a home
- Ideally up for the pub trips, dinner, or spontaneous plans
- Basically someone who’s independent but also open to building a friendship
Yes, it’ll be a bit bare bones at the start. But it’s a good flat in a great area, and with the right person it’ll quickly turn into somewhere you actually want to be.
Rent £1,100 pcm (bills not included — I don’t have exact numbers yet so please factor that in)
If this sounds like your sort of setup, drop me a message with a bit about yourself. I won’t be in the flat yet, so we can grab a coffee or a pint and see if we get on.
