Hey! I’m Suzannah 😊 I’m looking for someone to rent the second bedroom in my flat as my best friend is moving in with her boyfriend at the end of August. The let would be short‑term - ideally until December/January - with the option to extend depending on what’s happening with my work later in the year. I am also open to a Monday-Friday arrangement with a negotiable rent reduction.
About the flat: The flat is lower‑ground with its own private front door, a big patio at the front, and a huge private garden (one of my favourite things about living here). The letting agent owns the whole block of five flats and they’re brilliant - super responsive with anything from appliances to general maintenance. I’ve been here five years this month and I really love it.
The neighbouring blocks are a mix of owned and rented, and everyone is really sociable. There’s a big shared garden out front and we usually have a BBQ/drinks social every couple of months (I’m actually the newly appointed social secretary lol). It feels very safe and very community‑vibes. There’s also free off‑road parking if you have a car.
About me: I’m 34, currently single, and work for the NHS in a national role reviewing mental health in urgent and emergency care. I mostly WFH from a desk in my room, but I’m in the office one day a week and often out on site visits another day.
I’ve got lots of lovely friends nearby and a good social life, so I’m out and about quite a bit - but I also love a cosy night in with a glass of wine and a good series (especially MAFS when it’s on… no judgement pls).
Who I’m looking for: Someone easy‑going, with their own life and interests, but who’s also happy to chill on the sofa or have the occasional drink. Good, consistent energy in the flat is really important to me - I love this space and want it to feel calm and positive. Clean and tidy is also key, and I’d be keen to get a cleaner every couple of weeks to keep things feeling nice.
I’ve listed the price rent only for ease, but bills (gas, electric, water, council tax, WiFi etc.) all come out of my account and total £240pp. Happy to share a breakdown if helpful.
