Double room w/ensuite in 2 bed flat

We’re looking for a flatmate for a double bedroom in a 2-bedroom flat in Brixton. The bedroom is on its own floor, so you’ll have plenty of privacy. It’s spacious, gets lots of light through the skylight and comes furnished with a double bed, a large chest of drawers, bedside tables and a freestanding wardrobe. You’ll also have your own ensuite.

The living room/kitchen area is open-plan, spacious, well-equipped, and has lots of storage too. It’s a really nice space to hang out in, whether you’re cooking dinner, watching something on the couch or just chilling out.

The flat is very well located - less than a 10-minute walk from Brixton Underground station, and also less than 10 minutes from Brockwell Park in the other direction. It’s a really well-connected and lively part of Brixton, with plenty of pubs, restaurants, cafes and shops nearby, but also tucked off the main road enough that it's not too loud.

You’ll be sharing with a couple, both working professionals. We’re Australian and have lived in London for 2 and a half years. I work in marketing and am in the office 3 days a week, while my partner is an Environmental Consultant and is in the office 4/5 days a week.

During the week, we keep things pretty low key - you’ll usually find us relaxing after work, cooking dinner and binging a good Netflix series. As flatmates, we’re tidy and respectful. We’re also pretty social and, during summer in particular, are usually in and out a couple of evenings throughout the week. We tend to go out rather than have people over, so don’t worry about big weekends or lots of people coming through the flat either.

We enjoy hanging out and having a bit of a chat, but are equally happy doing our own thing. We’re looking for a clean, social flatmate who enjoys an occasional dinner together and is looking for a friendly, relaxed home.

One thing to note is that the flat is next to a pub, which has live music from Thursday to Saturday, roughly 9pm to midnight, but you can’t really hear it from this bedroom.
