Brixton - Double Room to rent in mews development

I've recently bought my first flat in Brixton and am looking for a housemate to move into the second bedroom.

The flat is on the 2nd floor of a gated mews development which backs on to Brockwell Park and has a view of the courtyard. It’s a 15 minute walk from the tube and has plenty of buses passing by if you’d prefer not to walk it.

The room itself is a double measuring 8 ft. by 9 ft., furnished with a mahogany double bed, side table and pretty spacious wardrobe. Washing machine, tumble-dryer, dishwasher, fridge/freezer etc came with the flat so are all on offer. There is also some additional room for storage if needed, bike sheds out the front and parking.

I’ve taken a few months to decorate the flat at my own pace so still need to add a couple more touches (such as new curtain rails, a floor lamp for the living room, etc) but aside from that the hard graft is all done and the place is now well decorated, as I hope the photos illustrate! I would certainly be happy though to have someone else’s input for the final touches and am more than willing to add to the second bedroom (shelving, wallpapering, etc) to suit whoever moves in as well.

In terms of myself, I’m in my late 20s and work as a Resourcing Manager for a professional services firm, which allows me to spend plenty of time working from home, so you won’t be queuing for the shower early in the morning too often! The only pre-requisite in terms of a flatmate that I would have would be that you are set on living in Brixton and have an genuine fondness for the area, as opposed to deciding to live here as it’s round the corner from Clapham and have heard that it’s becoming somewhat gentrified. If you’re the sort of person that’s a good fit with Brixton in general I’m sure we’ll share some similar interests.
