Description

Hello SpareRoomers!

I'm Vic, and I am looking for a sublet to take over my room while I go off travelling in a 30s-induced gap year.
I'll be away from London for 6 months, from October to the end of March, with some flexibility to move/extend.

The flat itself is amazing - I have a big, bright room just surpassed by the bigger, brighter living room (with balcony), less than 5-minute walk from Broadway market's cafes and bars and 4 lovely housemates that I am sad to leave behind (and the reason I am subletting rather than moving out).

All together, we are Spareroom-forged friends, who are sociable and like to hang out in and out of the flat, but also have our own lives going on. With 5 people in the house, there is always someone to talk over dinner with if you want, but also no pressure to chat if you need some time alone.

A little about them:
Sara: 30, has called this flat home for 2 years. Working in health communications, in her personal time she can be found reading, playing board games and I'm convinced has tried all the best restaurants in London - a good one to ask for recs. She’s also a full-time Dane.
Ruby: 25, a professional dancer, hand model, carer, make-up artist, she does it all. Her real name is also not really Ruby, but Anna. Suspicious? Maybe, but easy to forget in the face of the great fashion inspo, sweet treats and vibes she brings to the house. Coincidentally, also Danish.
Beck: 28, a scientist now working in the drug development space. Loves horror films, but don't let that put you off. She loves reading, playing football, mooching about London and chatting. The resident vegan, she’s always up for trying new bars and bakeries, or watching trash TV.
Elina: 26, the latest addition to our flat, has just moved from Oxford for her Phd. A German gal, she was attracted here by the artsy vibes of Hackney. Also a veggie, if we were the Spice Girls she’s be the sporty one, as she loves running, bouldering, cycling, swimming and hiking.

Now for the bills. These are not included, but all (in water, wifi, council tax, energy, gas, etc, ) it come to about 90 pounds a month, a bit more in winter.

For furnishings, it comes with all my furniture, but if something doesn't work, we can discuss it. A plant lover would be ideal as I have a lot of plants and would love to find someone who wouldn't mind watering some (I will probably distribute some at friends' or in the shared living spaces, so it's not as jungly as it is now).

We ask for a 500 deposit, but will write up a contract and all, so it's all written down for everyone's safety :)

Any questions, please get in touch!

Thanks for reading, send me a plant emoji for bonus points!
