Looking for a friendly flatmate/lodger for the spacious, light double room in my three-floor flat in the heart of Brockley. Short- and long-term both considered.

You'd be sharing with me – a professional (classical music and publishing) in her early 40s. I am freelance so partly work from home but I am also out working as well and doing various other things with my life! Lots of interests and passions, particularly music, languages and travel, film, cooking, running, pubs and friends. My friends' lovely cat also occasionally visits for a stint too.

An ideal flatmate would be a relaxed friendly person I could easily enjoy sharing dinner/beer/film/interesting conversation with but who also has lots of their own interests and is also quite independent.

The room is a good-sized double in a warm, bright, spacious Victorian flat over three floors with a large living room, new kitchen, new bathroom and second toilet, and some access to large study/music room/guest room (although this may occasionally be let out for short-term lets). We have all the standard cooking appliances, fridge, dishwasher and washing machine.

The property is in the heart of Brockley with local shops, restaurants, pubs, Brockley microbrewery large park (including Saturday parkrun). It is on the main road but the bedroom faces the back so is pretty quiet.

It is right opposite Brockley station (zone 2) which has regular trains to London Bridge station (9 minutes) and Canada Water.

- 10 mins Canary Wharf
- 15 mins Shoreditch
- 15 mins Blackfriars
- 25 mins West End

It's also an easy cycle into town with various cycle routes available. And free parking on neighbouring streets.

Brockley itself is a lovely area with a nice local community feel and it's been a bit 'gentrified' over recent years with a particularly nice little 'hub' between the flat and the station.

Rent is £950 pcm which includes all bills and council tax:
- £65 council tax (for local bin collection, street cleaning, recycling etc.)
- £40 cleaner (comes circa every 2 weeks)
Plus:

- gas
- electricity
- water
- general household stuff to keep it running (cleaning stuff, dishwasher tablets, etc!)

I may consider couples at a higher rate but probably on a more short-term basis.

It's a really convenient location and in a nice area. Friends and I love living there!
