Description
Brockley is a gorgeous area of South East London, with a great community vibe, plenty of fun pubs and restaurants. This 1st floor flat is light and roomy with many period features. The bedroom itself is relatively small, with a small double bed, but pleasant with a beautiful view through the trees to Hilly Fields park. There is a shared bathroom with a shower and a bath at the top of the stairs.
FYI I am sometimes at home during the week, but am also often at my partner's house, especially at weekends.
I am flexible and always happy to talk about what you need! :)
Council Tax Band C. Bills are NOT included in the rent.
Great transport links to the Docklands and the city centre!
Brockley Station is an 11 minute walk from the flat, with trains running directly to London Bridge and the South Bank, journey time less than 10 mins. Alternatively you can travel on the Overground Line from Brockley direct to hip Shoreditch in 20 mins, where all the cool bars, gig venues, vintage clothes shops and fabulous restaurants can be found. The Overground also connects with the fabulous Jubilee Line at Canada Water, for trains going east to Canary Wharf and Stratford, or west to Green Park and Hampstead.
Lewisham Station is also a short walk away and you can get the DLR into the city via Canary Wharf or frequent trains heading to London Bridge, Waterloo, Charing Cross, Cannon Street and Victoria. St Johns Station is even closer to home, which also takes you direct to the city in less than 10 mins.
Driving across town is also manageable but we are in the Ultra Low Emissions Zone, so there may be a charge for diesel vehicles.
Cycling into the city is also relatively straight-forward, no need to go up and down steep hills!
The Brockley Conservation Area is so relaxed and picturesque. Famous musicians and actors have discovered this quiet corner of South East London in recent times, but it still retains that feeling of being a hidden gem.
Fun and affordable places like The Talbot Pub mingle with quality local restaurants like The Orchard. Brockley Market at the weekend has a fabulous selection of food vans and stalls selling a wide variety of delicacies.
In the summer the Lewisham Model Market is one of the coolest new nighttime spots in the city, and Greenwich Village is just a short journey away with all the riverside pubs and historic architecture you could hope for.
