Large room in 2-bed Victorian house in Brockley

My housemate is moving out so I’m looking for someone to join me and my cat Nova as co-tenant from 1st August 2024 until 31st March 2025. After this date, the landlord is moving back into the property.

The room is a large double with two built in wardrobes, high ceilings and plenty of natural sunlight. The room is not furnished.

The house itself is Victorian and gorgeous, located on a quiet, residential street in the heart of Brockley. It’s spacious with almost 1,000 square feet of living space. The large reception room has a feature fireplace and exposed floorboards. The kitchen is modern with French doors opening on to the sunny, private garden. There is a large bathroom with separate bath tub and shower. The house came unfurnished but is now full of my things. If you have house furniture you want to bring, we can discuss as the current housemate may take some stuff so we can replace with yours.

A bit about me: I’m 32 and work in fundraising for a charity, working from home in the living space 2-3 days a week. I enjoy dancing, cooking and travel. I’m easy-going, friendly and sociable, but appreciate time to myself to relax. I like going out and sometimes host the odd dinner or bbq, but on the whole I’m not much of a party-at-home person and I hope you feel the same. I’m tidy, clean and considerate and want to live with someone similar who takes care of the space. Nova is a very fluffy rescue cat, a bit shy at first but once she feels safe, is super loving (bordering on needy).

In terms of location, Brockley, Nunhead and Crofton Park stations all within short walking distances. There are local green spaces to enjoy with Telegraph Hill, Peckham Rye, and Hilly Fields all within easy reach. Cafes, cosy pubs and restaurants close by.
