Hey 👋

We're a household of 4 professionals Polly (she/her), Martina (she/her), Kate (they/them) and Lena (she/her) in our thirties looking for two new flatmates to move into our house share in Brockley (Zone 2) from the 19th of September. Sadly, Kate is moving out because they bought a flat, and Polly is moving out to retrain to become a midwife. Polly and Kate work in the charity sector, Martina runs her own business and Lena is training to become a therapist. This means we have 2 rooms available and are looking for 2 people to live with Lena and Martina.

Room 1 is a double room on the basement level with a big and bright bay window, and comes with your own (non en-suite) bathroom with a shower. The room is approximately 5 x 4m in size and comes furnished with a bed (frame and mattress) and 2 chests of drawers. You don't have to keep the furniture but you would have to take responsibility to dispose/sell/donate the furniture you don't want. Our landlord needs to make some repairs to this room before the move in date, but we will be doing viewings with the room as it currently is.
This room is £820/month + bills, the deposit is 1 month rent

Room 2 is a double room approximately 3 x 4m in size, on the first/second floor with views over the rear garden, is unfurnished, but a bed frame could be made available if you need it for a few months (Kate would need it when they move into the new flat). This room shares a bathroom with one other room (Martina's).
This room is £738/month + bills, the deposit is 1 month rent

The move-in date is on the 19th September and ideally we are looking for 6-12 months+ let. Our houseshare is a home, so we would prefer someone who wants to be part of our home in the longer term. Bills average at £110 p/m pp all in (council tax, gas, electric, water, wifi and TV license), but are higher in winter because we spend a lot more on gas to heat the house. Our council tax band is D.

The house is a spacious 4-storey Victorian terraced house, and we deal directly with our landlord. The large open-plan Kitchen/Living Space has a dishwasher and a huge American-style fridge freezer. A separate utility area has a washing machine and tumble drier, a secure bike lock rack and free street parking. The communal areas are fully furnished and the kitchen is well stocked. We also have a lovely garden.

If you don't know Brockley, the area is an absolute gem! We're a 3-minute walk from Brockley Station (Overground & National Rail) - just 10 mins to London Bridge. There's a cool vibe with some awesome local parks - Hilly Fields, Telegraph Hill and others - as well as nice bars, pubs and independent restaurants.

We love it here and we’re looking for a similarly relaxed housemate who'll help to take care of the place, be considerate, tidy and enjoy hanging out in the kitchen, but we’re also very independent, do our own thing and respect each other’s privacy. You should be someone who is looking for a home, not just somewhere to crash. We are not a party house.
