Description
Room available NOW for housemate in Southeast London (Brockley, SE4). Current housemates are an actor/educator/writer and a designer/educator. We are a creative household! The current tenancy agreement lasts until mid August and is planned to be renewed for another year (at least). New housemate would be added to the current agreement through an amendment.
Our house is a great deal (for London)
: • Terrace house, 3x bedrooms (1 available), 1 joint kitchen-living room, 2 bathrooms, 1 extra room that is too small for a bedroom but can be used as walk-in wardrobe/storage or an exercise/yoga room, attic, garden with shed for up to 4 bikes, lots of storage
. • Big rooms: Room 1 is 4.7m x 3.6m (16.9m^2), on the first floor. • Rent ~850 GBP per month (depending on how housemates agree to split rent with one room being slightly smaller) plus council tax plus bills. Council tax band D, currently 177 GBP/month for the whole house
. • 5 minutes walk to Thameslink, 12 to overground
• 5-15 minute walk to 4 of SE London’s finest parks
• Room is well-designed (e. g. built in recessed shelving) and feels big • Lots of light everywhere
• Big room with huge windows
• Obscene amounts of storage (utility room, several communal closets, large attic)
• Two bathrooms, one on each floor, shower, and cast-iron claw-foot bathtub
• Modern kitchen with a dishwasher, gas stovetop, big fridge. Folding glass doors make kitchen/living room entirely open up to garden in the summer. • Washer and drier
• Garden with a terrace and bike shed (we have previously grown a good bit of food in the garden: fresh herbs/salad most of the year, and an abundance of tomatoes/peppers in the summer)
• Landlord is friendly, responsive, flexible. Has previously been OK with 2 cats (though there will no longer be cats once you move in).
• Unfurnished except for cabinets as seen in photos.
• Kitchen/living room furniture as pictured but some can be removed if you with to bring your own (e. g. couch)
