Description
We’re looking for someone lovely to join our beautiful Brockley home! It’s a very creative and social flat that’s cosy, well decorated, and always clean/tidy. We enjoy spending time together, but also really respect each other’s space, and we’re hoping to find someone who’ll feel the same.
The flat was renovated this year, so everything feels fresh and clean, with white walls, beautiful wooden floors, and a bright open-plan kitchen/living area. We cook together, host dinner parties, and have a weekly movie night where we take turns cooking and then project a film in the living room. The kitchen is amazing for hosting, and we also have two bathrooms, both with showers (one with a bath), so no morning traffic jams. There’s even a futon in the living room, meaning friends are always welcome for sleepovers.
The location is amazing — we’re only a four-minute walk to Brockley station, and about 25 minutes door-to-Shoreditch High Street. The area is calm and feels safe, while still having lots of young people around and a lovely local community feel.
The room available is on the smaller side, but very cosy. It has a skylight that floods the space with light and gives you an amazing view of the London skyline — sunsets are particularly beautiful. It’s also the best-insulated room in the flat, so in winter it’s nice and toasty. The room comes with a bed and mattress (which belong to us), along with small built-in storage and enough space for a little desk and a clothes rail.
You’ll be living with Sara, a graphic designer and content creator. She brings fun chaos, but also doubles as the Type-A housemate who keeps everything running smoothly. Sara loves going to the cinema, creating content, a dirty pint or an overpriced martini. She’s a trinket girly and a big Snoopy stan.
You’ll also be living with Cait, a creative working in advertising, who’ll be here until April (she’s moving in with a boy 💔). She loves pints, local markets, park runs, and the gym. When the lease renews in April (it becomes a rolling contract, and the landlord has confirmed the rent will stay the same), Lucy — who you’ll be replacing — will move back into the flat in Cait’s room. Lucy works for an environmental NGO; she loves a couple of pints just like the rest of us and spends her free time skateboarding, surfing, and playing tennis.
As a household, we’re clean, respectful, and empathetic. It’s definitely not a party house, but we’re very sociable and enjoy spending time together as well as doing our own thing. We’d love to find someone who matches that energy and wants to join our little gang.
We have a private landlord who is great — responsive, kind, and invested in making sure we’re happy. He just wants respectful tenants who will take good care of the property.
If you’re someone who appreciates a beautiful, social home and think you’d fit the bill, we’d be really excited to hear from you. Please get in touch with a little paragraph about yourself, and we'll be in touch with people we like the sound of. Viewings w/c 5th January.
