Description

We have a bright and airy double bedroom overlooking the rear garden of an end of terrace up for grabs whilst our delightful lodger Viv spends her summer on the beach.

You would be sharing with Tineke (50) Bronwyn (aged 9) and an elderly cat.

About the house:
Comfortable size with three bedrooms and an upstairs bathroom with a slipper bath and a separate shower. Downstairs we have a TV room attached to a playroom and a good sized dining room and kitchen towards the rear.

The house is spread over 4 half floors and the advertised room is over the back addition which means it feels quite seperate from the other two bedrooms.

The available room is a large (it used to be two rooms that were knocked into one), dual aspect, fully furnished space with a double bed, two bedside cabinets, chest of drawers, armchair and a wardrobe.

There is a TV and a SkyQ box in the room.
Parking is on-street, ample and free.

About the neighbourhood:
We are a 5 minute walk from Telegraph Hill park where you will find the lovely Hill Station cafe along with an upper and lower park seperated by Kitto Road and wonderful views of the city skyline. Other nearby green spaces include Hilly Fields, One Tree Hill, Nunhead Cemetary and Peckham Rye Common.

Brockley has a couple of lovely bars, cafes and restaurants but if these don't take your fancy we are within easy access of New Cross, Crofton Park, Honor Oak Park, Nunhead and Peckham Rye where you will find many more options.

Transport:
The house is about 7 mins walk from Brockley station which has trains every 30 minutes into London Bridge (journey time: +/- 10 mins) as well as tube (London Overground Network) to Croydon (in the South) and Highbury (in the north). We're within 15 minutes' walking distance of Nunhead for travel to Victoria and there is a 484 bus stop outside our house for buses between Lewisham and Camberwell.

About us:
I am in the office three days per week and work from home the remaining two. Bronwyn, (as you would expect) attends a local school and will be in holiday camps for much of the summer so during the week we tend to keep to ourselves and go to bed relatively early whilst we like to spend our weekends relaxing at home or in the garden or with friends.

Bronwyn’s dad and I, whilst not living together. are dedicated co-parents and he spends about three evenings a week with us, having dinner and helping with Bronwyn’s evening routine. This is non-negotiable and it is essential that housemates are also comfortable with this arrangement.

Our home has the typical family vibe that you would expect living with a young(-ish) child, and we are excited to welcome someone fun, cheerful and positive seeking a similar environment to call home.
