Description
Hello,
I'm looking for a flatmate for a two-bedroom, two-bathroom flat I just signed the contract for.
It's a nice double bedroom with a double bed and its own bathroom. It's not an en-suite, because the en-suite room is mine, but you would have the "family bathroom" with a standing bath and toilet just for yourself.
The flat and the room is furnished with electric appliances and everything we need. Your room has a double bed, mattress, a large closet and a chest of drawers.
The flat has a spacious open-plan kitchen with living room, TV, sofas, etc and a cute balcony that looks over the River Lea.
The flat literally 3 minutes walk from Bromley-by-Bow tube station, and has a gate around the building. It's on the sixth floor but it has a lift.
I have the flat from the 29 of October, so I can show you around from the 30th. I would like someone who moves in as soon as possible, latest around the 10th or maximum 14th of November. I would like to find the ideal flatmate, but move-in date matters as well as I don't want to pay for the flat alone for a long time.
Council tax and bills are payable on top of the rent. The landlord said that based on consumption, our bills will be around £350, no gas in the flat, £140 electric, £40 water, £129 council tax, internet £43.
You would share the flat with me, Eszter, a 31-year-old Journalist.
I would like a really cozy/homey environment and someone who I can vibe with, to make the place feel like home together. I don't want to feel like I don't want to be in the living room or kitchen if my flatmate is there, so it would be great if we build a connection. Doesn't have to be best friends though, I'm busy as well.
I like a quiet flat, and a clean one. I would be up for having a cleaner bi-weekly, but I would like someone who contributes to a reasonable tidiness and cleanliness.
Don't want to have a party-house or having people over all the time, but I'm very happy with guests from time to time, friends can stay over if we agree in advance etc. (Possible to sleep in the living room as well.) I will have guests sometimes. We can also throw an occasional party.
So my interests and hobbies are comedy, documentary films, politics, social issues, cinema, good books and similar stuff. I'm a leftist, and would like someone with similar political leniency and world-view. (All right, I'm not looking for a partner haha, but we will live together at the end, so would be great to have a similar world-view)
I work for home most of the time, so ideally I would like someone who doesn't WFH every day, but it's totally fine if you do some days.
The other thing about me, is I have chronic illnesses and I currently work part-time and will be going through some long-term treatment throughout the next year. The only reason why I'm sharing that it's because that means I'm home a lot. I'm happy to contribute a little more to the bills because of that.
You will have a subletting contract with me, not directly to the landlord, and you will pay your part of the deposit to me. But the landlord has and will give me written permission for that, he knows that I will be sharing the flat. We will have a proper contract to protect both of us. I'm looking for someone long-term but I will consider a minimum stay of 6 months. The deposit is 1312 though, but Spareroom didn't accept that for some reason.
Message me if you are interested and include a description about yourself and what you are looking for, your ideal and possible move-in dates, if you have any furniture you want to bring and everything else worth mentioning! Please include "Strawberry" at the beginning of your message, so I know that you have read this, otherwise might not reply to your message.
I will start answering people around 22 October and sort out viewings!
If you have any questions, let me know!
Looking forward to getting to know you!
Bests,
Eszter
