Hello,
I’ve lived in Camberwell for 10 years and love the area and community here. On the top floor (4th storey) of the house, I have one of two rooms available to a single lodger. The rooms sit either side of a shared shower room. This advert is for the east-facing bedroom overlooking the garden.
The room is £1000 per month with all bills included. Ideally I’m looking for someone staying 6 months or longer, although shorter stays of under 3 months would be considered at £1100/month.
The room is particularly well suited to someone looking for a calm, cosy base after a busy working day, and is conveniently located for University of the Arts London (UAL), King’s College Hospital (KCH) and Denmark Hill station.
The licence fee includes use of the bedroom, shared bathroom, kitchen/dining room, utility room, council tax, utility bills, internet and an occasional cleaner.
The bedroom itself is a double room furnished with a single bed to maximise space, along with a desk, chair, chest of drawers and clothes rail.
The house was architect-designed by me and has a warm, modern and light-filled atmosphere with lots of timber and natural materials throughout. There is a large, fully equipped kitchen and dining space downstairs.
This is a relaxed family home rather than a flatshare, and tends to suit independent, considerate people who are comfortable living fairly autonomously around family life. Quiet evenings and mutual respect in shared spaces are important.
Camberwell has a huge amount to offer. Within a short walk are three parks, a community sauna, the South London Gallery, Camberwell Church Street, Bellenden Road, excellent pubs and restaurants, and strong bus and Overground connections into central London, Peckham, Waterloo, Oval and Vauxhall.
I’d also be interested to hear from freelance DBS checked nannies, childcarers or housekeepers who may be interested in accommodation with licence fees partially offset through agreed wraparound childcare support.
