Description
Friendly and alternative house with relaxed housemates (Margot and Ben) close to lively Camberwell Church Street and its banging food and drink locations. Denmark Hill station v close (7 minutes to platform if you power-walk).
There is a large living room, a balcony which it's very pleasant to sit on with a coffee on a warm morning or BBQ on on a warm eve; a kitchen big enough to have a mini-table in it and storage all over the place. Two bathrooms (one's tiny - 1.5 bathrooms really!). It's across two floors so pretty much a house...
I'm the landlord, so although I'm very laid back in nature; being tidy and house proud would be key traits looked for in a new housemate.
The room is already in pretty good shape, and you'll be free to make changes to improve it as you see fit and take money off your rent to do so (within reason). Our Jungle themed living room wall is a result of one such experiment by former housemate Nina From Norway (sadly she went back to Norway again but can occasionally be found on our sofa bed on trips to London).
Lucas Gardens is a 2 minute walk away for tree climbing and Ruskin Park maybe 10 minutes away for a stroll to, train on the outdoor gym or go on the aerial trapeze. There's some spectacular takeaways very close - including Nandines (google it) which is about 90 seconds walk from the door.
Rent includes everything - fast wifi, tv license, council tax...I think £850 all in is a pretty exceptional deal given the location and space that you have access to.

Viewings available Tuesday eve - the 17th or 24th. I'm pretty busy with work so it's hard to make ad hoc days / times but will see what we can do if you're keen but unable to make those days times.

- Two house rules: No fascists; My bread is your bread
- Camberwell Church Street is incredible for delicious and affordable dinners
- Room should be empty from 25th September but likely needs a bit of work following occupation by a particularly aggy cat so I'm leaving a bit of time to get that done
- Margot is great, and around a lot more than I am (I tend to spend quite a bit of time a) working and b) at my girlfriends elsewhere in Camberwell - so you get more living space than you might expect from sharing with two others)
