A double room has become available to let in our three bedrooom house in Camberwell as I am moving to Australia for work.
Details about the room:
- Move in date: Sunday 15th September
- Rent: £840 pcm excluding bills (total cost of bills including wifi, all utilities and council tax is currently c.£105 pcm)
- Lease: The current lease is due for renewal on 31st March 2025 and so the length of the tenancy would be 6.5 months. A new contract would be signed with the current tenants when you move in with this expiry date (noting this is our second year in the property and we love how attentive, friendly and responsive the landlord is)
- Room is fully furnished with wardrobe, chest of draws and wardrobe, with additional wardrobe on the second floor landing opposite to the bedroom entrance.
- Room window faces the garden and has plenty of sunshine in the morning.
About the house and neighbourhood:
- Walking distance from Elephant and Castle, (20 mins), Oval (25 mins) and Kennington (25 mins) station which are all Northern line stations with E&C also having the Bakerloo line. Also 20 minutes walk from Denmark Hill station (Overground). There is also a bus stop right outside the front door of the property (136,3 43), with further bus stops less than 10 minutes walk away with direct buses to Oxford Circus, Battersea, Vauxhall, Shoreditch and Tottenham Court Road.
- Fully equipped kitchen with plenty of cupboard and fridge storage.
- One shared bathroom.
- Numerous grocery stores close by including Lidl (10 minute walk) and a Tesco superstore (10 minute walk).
- PureGym 3 minutes walk away.
The two tenants who will be remaining in the property are two working professionals under the age of 30 (Nurse and Accountant) from Ireland and Spain respectively. An ideal roommate would be:
- Laid back (no party animals please)
- Clean, tidy and respectful of shared spaces
- A working professional
- Friendly, sociable and happy to chat with their house mates as and when they see them
