Description
We are looking for two people to join us on the contract of our sunny 4-bed flat on leafy Grove Lane in Camberwell, which we are renewing for a fifth year from 3rd September. The flat has two bathrooms, a spacious kitchen/living area and has a prime location for some of the best pubs in south London - as well as being 5 minutes walk from Denmark Hill station (Overground/Thameslink). Happy to entertain interest from individuals as well as groups of two looking for a new home together.
We are a mixed flat of young professionals (currently 2m, 2f and looking to maintain this balance), in creative industries/postgraduate study. We enjoy spending time with each other and are looking for someone to fit in with our harmonic and collaborative ethos. We are all currently vegetarian but this is no dealbreaker on our side; we don't smoke in the house. This will be the 7th iteration of flatmates in this flat, with some of us entering a 5th year which shows how much we love it. But we very much want the new flatmate to make it their own too.
Rent is split unevenly across the rooms to reflect their relative size and furnishings. Rent for the small room is £895pcm, whilst the bigger room is £915 pcm. This included wifi and gas bills, whilst other bills of electricity, water and council tax come to around £65 pp pcm. As you would join the contract for the year, there is a security deposit from the landlord of 5 week's rent. The smaller room currently comes furnished with a floor-framed double bed, chest of drawers and chair. The larger room comes furnished with a double bed, desk, chest of drawers, and wardrobe. However, our landlord has a supply of other furniture (desks, draws, chairs etc) and is happy to entertain further furnishings for each.
