The house is a split level townhouse which is semi detached within a gated mews of 5 others.
On the ground floor is the kitchen, a toilet, and under stairs storage. The first floor has two bedrooms and a shared bathroom…
THE ROOM
….And the second floor is all yours!
There is a large double bedroom with eaves storage, with a French door access to a private balcony. The en-suite bathroom has a shower, toilet, and basin, as well as a frosted window for ventilation.
On the landing is a little storage cupboard. There is then a second smaller room included which can be used as a study, living room, etc. This room also has eaves storage and double French doors to access the private balcony. All windows are east facing.
Both rooms are furnished as seen in the pictures - the open wardrobe in the main bedroom and the two bookshelves in the second room.
KITCHEN
We have a gas hob, oven, microwave, and integrated dishwasher and washing machine in the kitchen. There is a large fridge/freezer shared between us (integrated; not the silver one pictured which will be leaving with the current tenant). You will have your own pantry cupboard and then we have mutual cupboards for crockery/saucepans etc. We currently split the cost of essentials such as olive oil, salt/pepper, cleaning supplies, etc.
GARDEN
Our house benefits from a huge communal garden, only shared by the tenants in our terrace (6 houses including us). There are plenty of benches and chairs as well as 3 permanent washing lines strung between trees - particularly useful in the summer months! Our neighbours maintain the yard but we also have access to the shed with lawn mower etc. There is also a small BBQ.
We also have a designated covered parking space, visitor parking, and bike racks.
THE AREA
We are perfectly situated between Camberwell and Peckham high streets, approximately 12-15 minutes walk to either. We have a Sainsbury’s local 2 minutes away and then plenty of other supermarkets and independent shops, restaurants, cafes, charity shops etc on those two high streets. We are also conveniently located just two minutes walk from South London Gallery, Toad Bakery, and the Peckham Pelican.
There are plenty of local buses and we’re also 15 minutes walk from Peckham Rye overground station. You can easily get a bus to several tube stations, too.
ABOUT US
We are Maddy (33) and Rebecca (32) and we have been here for 2 and 3.5 years respectively. Maddy is Australian and works for an independent shop as a buyer/administrator full time.
Rebecca is sadly moving to her own place before Christmas but we have already found her replacement, Amelia (31), who is Canadian and is a SEND teacher. She also has a kitten named George who will be moving in, too!
We split the bills evenly and they come to about £110/month on average. We have a private landlord who also oversees the mews.
We are looking for a professional couple or individual who is respectful, responsible, and reliable. This is a LGBTQ+ friendly household. The room/s are available immediately and we are looking to have our first viewings Saturday 26th - Sunday 27th October. Please get in touch if you’re interested!
