There is a room available on a permanent basis in a gorgeous flat in the heart of Camberwell from October onwards! I am (slightly sadly) leaving this flat after two years to go traveling and looking for a friendly, warm, clean, and respectful person to take over from me :-)
You'll be sharing with two Welsh professional women aged 25 and 26, working in the fields of politics and research. They will be looking for someone who could fit into their dynamic to make a relaxed and fun living environment, rather than someone who's looking just for somewhere to sleep without really being part of the house. We'll be doing some informal visits in September to the flat so that everyone can check the vibe of the dynamic!!
You will be in the biggest room in the flat, which comes with pre-fitted clothing rail and drawers, a table/desk (ideal for WFH), and plenty of room for a double bed.
Bills come to approx £90-100 pcm. Council tax band C (Southwark). Hot water & heating already included in rent (very handy in colder months!)
This flat is so so nice. It's split over three floors. The entrance is on the ground floor, living room, kitchen, bathroom and patio on the first floor, and then three bedrooms and another bathroom on the second floor. The kitchen/dining area is modern and bright with a cosier living room 'nook' attached to it. The patio is great for the warmer months.
The flat is really well located, just a few minutes walk from the centre of Camberwell which has many bus connections into central (and only a 15-20 minute cycle into central). It's a 10-15 minute walk to Denmark Hill (National Rail and Overground), and walking/cycling distance to Peckham, Brixton, Herne Hill etc. The flat is a couple of minutes walk from lovely Brunswick Park, and less than 10 mins from Burgess Park.
We are looking to find someone and confirm with the landlords by mid-September, in advance of move-in from around mid-October (exact debates TBC and negotiable).
