Description
As I head off travelling, I’m looking for someone to fill my double room in a two-bedroom Camberwell flat where I’ve lived happily for 18 months.
The rent is £700pcm and the bills currently come to £120pcm (this may increase slightly due to winter energy use but I’ve never paid above £140pcm) and a deposit of £830.75. The room comes with a double bed, bookcase, chest of drawers, built-in cupboard and wardrobe and a desk. The flat has a shared living room, bathtub, and balcony which overlooks communal gardens.
The flat is on the second floor of a three story block just off Camberwell Road. It is a few minutes from Burgess Park and a 15-20 minute walk to Kennington and Oval tube stations (Northern Line). There are loads of regular buses from Camberwell New Road (3, 148, 171, 176, 468, N68, N89, and N171).
Camberwell is a great area to live. There are lots of good pubs, coffee shops, independent restaurants, parks and green spaces (some of which now have saunas!)
You will replace me on the current lease which will be renewed in June. You will be sharing with Angus, a 33-year-old teaching assistant / part-time postgrad student. We are looking for someone clean and tidy, sociable and easy-going, who is looking to stay long term.
The flat is available from Saturday January 10th. There is flexibility for a later move-in date, but no later than Sunday February 8th. There is a £50 admin fee to change the lease and I am happy to split this with the new tenant.
