Description
We have a sunny, single/small double room available in a friendly, quiet house share starting from July 10th. The room is full of natural light with a massive, double glazed windows overlooking the terrace and overground. The room comes unfurnished with the exception of the clothing rail.
The house is in an amazing location with plenty of transport links. It's just 5 minutes from Kentish Town high street and Camden Market, with Kentish Town West Station (Overground - Mildmay) only 5 minutes away, and Chalk Farm (Northern), Kentish Town (Northern and Thameslink), and Camden (Northern) all 10-15 minutes away. Plus there's plenty of bus routes.
Whilst we are close to the main high streets, the property is situated in a peaceful and safe cul-de-sac. There are four bedrooms in total with an additional guest/laundry room. You'll be sharing the main bathroom with two other tenants, plus an extra toilet under the stairs. The other housemate has an en-suite.
There is a spacious double-sized living room shared by all. Please note, the desk pictured in the living room is no longer there. We have a mix of hybrid in-office and work-from-home schedules, so working from home is fine, but we would prefer someone who works from their room to help maintain the shared space. The room available is a bit small for a work-from-home setup, but you're more than welcome to make it work. Please note the pictures show the old windows, there were new double glazed windows installed less than a year ago.
There is a small back garden perfect for BBQing and relaxing by the firepit. If you're looking for more sunshine, there's also a lovely roof terrace, which looks out onto the overground. So, you can catch some rays and trainspot at the sametime. Please note the trains are usually quiet and they stop running at midnight with the exception of the odd freight train. You'll get so used to them that you'll forget they're even there.
You would be living with Francesca, Linnea, and Iymaan — three friendly working professionals. Most of us have been in the house for a couple of years. While we are all quite busy with work, when the opportunity arises, we try and make the most of the house. Francesca loves cooking and cycling, Linnea is into movies and writing, and Iymaan enjoys unwinding with some TV and finding a good bargain! We are an inclusive household with some of us part of the LGBTQ+ community.
