Description
We have a double room available in a really lovely four bedroom house in Canada Water from 5 August 2022.
The room is facing the garden, and is on the second floor of the house.
One of the housemates is moving out to be closer to his work. The other housemates are Andy, Filipe, and Hari. All are 23-26 and currently working from home and spending a few days at the office. Fans of formula one, cooking, bad jokes and good beer, they are a welcoming bunch who are equally happy to socialise and to leave you to your own devices.
Location-wise, the house is short walk from Canada Water tube station, and the Surrey Quays overground, and there are plenty of 24 hour buses (Canada Water is one of the best-served areas in terms of transportation in London). There's also a bowling alley, a nine-screen cinema within a five minute walk, and a decent selection of restaurants nearby (Cafe East is one of the best cheap eats in London). For groceries and food shopping, there's a 24 hour Tesco Extra also within a five minute walk. An ecological park in Russia Dock Woodland is around the corner from the house.
The house also has a shared living room with a 40" TV, coffee table, large corner sofa and dining table. There are two bathrooms, which are each shared by two people, and contain the usual fixtures and fittings (one has a modern design bath tub and the other has a shower cubicle).
Gas central heating and combi boiler with good water pressure comes as standard. There's also a fully equipped kitchen with gas hobs, microwave, oven, dishwasher, washing machine, tumble dryer, fridge, freezer and ample storage.
Around the back of the house, there is also a sizeable garden for barbeques and bicycle parking. There's also a shared parking space for the house (which is unused at the moment).
The front of the house is facing Greenland Dock with pretty nice views (especially in the summer), and it's right next to the MobyD pub.
Servicing-wise around the house, if anything gets broken, it usually gets fixed within a day or two - it's extremely important for us to keep the housemates happy, and there's nothing worse than not having the basic essentials in working order, e. g. hot water, washing machine, etc.
Really minimal admin for moving in: no references required; the room is fully furnished and all the bills taken care of. Unlimited superfast optic fibre broadband is included.
The room is fully furnished with a double bed, bedside table, large built-in wardrobe, desk and chair. We are fairly flexible on furniture: happy to purchase new pieces, or remove an item or two.
The rent is £214 per week of £927 per month, with all bills included.
