Description
**Please read all details before getting in touch**
Looking for my housemate’s replacement for a fully furnished double room, with an adjoining bath + toilet. There are more baths & toilets in the property so this one will be personal to the occupant of the room. The room is available 27th Jun onwards (flexible).
The house comes with all amenities, a complete kitchen with dishwasher, 2 refrigerators, microwave, washing machine + dryer, attached garden, and a shared living room. The house has 4 bedrooms across 3 floors, but 2 of them will remain unoccupied, so it is a 4-bedroom house being shared by 2 people (one on each floor).
The rent is inclusive of council tax, all other bills are shared by the housemates. The additional amount for Wi-Fi, gas & electricity, cleaner, and Thames water is approximately £110 per month.
The house is very well located, about a 6 mins walking distance from Canada Water bus/tube station (and Sainsbury’s), 8 mins walk to Rotherhithe station, 10 mins walk to Tesco Extra/shopping centre, 12 mins to Surrey Quays high street, and 15 minutes to uber boat piers. It also provides easy access to loads of other things such as a wall climbing studio, swimming pool, couple of gyms, a bowling alley, Odeon Cinema, DockX, weekend market, Stave Hill Ecological Park & Southwark Park, and a couple of pubs including the popular Mayflower. One can also enjoy walking next to the Thames and reach tower bridge in about 25 minutes.
There will a fixed contract for 3 months, and then a rolling month-on-month contract after that. This basically implies either you or the landlady can terminate the tenancy with 30 days’ notice.
The new tenant would need to provide information (to the landlady) for a background check- employment details, payslips, disclosure of all sources of income (including any benefits), right to live in the country, and 2 references.
It is a peaceful neighbourhood with a canal flowing right outside the house. We’d expect the new housemate to help keep the house clean, and not be loud at odd hours. There is a cleaner which comes and cleans all the common areas every 3 weeks, charges are included in the monthly utilities mentioned above.
A little about me, I am 32M media & advertising professional, mostly working out of the office. I love using my spare time to cycle around the city, do some photography or socialise.
PS I smoke but not inside the house, would appreciate if the new tenant follows the same
Cheers!
