Description
Welcome to our beautiful, plant-filled flat in a quiet & safe but also super well-connected part of the city!
Two of the tenants are leaving in November so we're looking to fill 2 of the rooms in the apartment. One of the rooms is open only for long term rental while the other is flexible with a minimum length of 3 months
The Flat:
I've been here for 5 years, largely because the flat itself is such a nice place to call home! It has a huge kitchen/living-room area with many leafy friends as you might have noticed. The floor-to-ceiling windows mean there is tonnes of natural light and we also have a large balcony for when London decides to turn up the heat (it gets all the afternoon sun!).
The flat is over 1300sqft so there is plenty of storage and with 3 of you living here you never feel like you're on top of each other.
We also back onto a surprisingly wild and beautiful park that even makes it possible to forget you're in a city sometimes!
Despite this it's also really easy to get to most bits of London - if you cycle it's a few mins to Canada Water station or a 10min walk and from there you have the Jubilee line to Stratford (east) or central London (west) and you also have the overground to Peckham (south) or Dalston/Highbury (north).
A little about us and potential housemate(s):
Currently here is myself (Anand) and Karen, plus her adorable and well-behaved spaniel called Lua!
We both have our separate groups of friends in London but still love to come together to cook, chat about existential topics or watch a movie. Though we're both social people, the house tends to be a calm and tranquil atmosphere with the occasional dinner party thrown-in.
We'd love someone to join who both respects the need for downtime and privacy but also wants to get involved and contribute to the lovely atmosphere we've built by sharing whatever feels meaningful to them; green fingers, new recipes, workouts they love, niche & interesting topics!
The Rooms:
The main room on offer is the middle room, fitting a double bed, desk, bookshelves and, currently, 2 wardrobes with some room to spare!
The larger room (currently mine) may also be up for grabs on a short term basis (2-5 months) as I'm considering taking some time-out between jobs - it could easily fit a desk but we currently have one set-up in the corner of the living room next to a window which I use.
If you feel this resonates with you or you want some more info, drop me a line!
Room Options (before bills)
1) Large Double Room (shared bathroom) – £1,200/month
2) Double Bedroom (shared bathroom) – £1050/month
Bills (paid on top of rent) = +£150 per month per person*
*note: Heating is done on a meter and is topped up ad hoc by whoever is living in the house and shared equally between flatmates.
