Description
Hi everyone!
Our flatmate is moving to Manchester soon, so we have a space in our modern Canning Town (Zone 2/3) flat that is coming available from 9th September.
This is an LGBT flat and we're looking for an LGBT+ flatmate.
You’ll be living with two cis men, James (33 gay) and Will (27 bi). We’re both friendly, chill guys, who work from home. We often like to hang out at lunch time and in the evenings, but enjoy our own space too.
We’re looking for someone around the same age with a similar vibe, who enjoys socialising with us but appreciates their own space. As we’re both homebodies, we don’t often host parties and prefer a much more relaxed vibe. Also, with the flat being such high spec, we keep it very clean and tidy and want a flatmate who would want to do the same. We can’t accommodate couples, I’m sorry!
DETAILS
→ Rent: £1150 (including all bills)
→ Bills: Included in above figure, which covers water, electricity, internet, heating and council tax (band D)
→ Deposit: £117 non-refundable payment to Flatfair (we opted to pay this fee instead of a traditional deposit), plus a £50 contract change payment. We’d also be looking for a contribution of £66 towards the TV
→ Contract Length: 12 months
→ You will need to go through referencing to be put onto the contract and prove you earn over £33k, to achieve total flat earning threshold
→ The landlord does not accept housing benefit or universal credit
ACCESS
→ Flat is on the 10th floor, with two lifts available
→ No steps to enter building, or flat itself
→ Shower above bath
→ Intercom system to buzz into the building
FLAT DETAILS
The flat is very spacious, fully furnished and renovated to a modern standard. We have an open-plan kitchen, dining and living space with access onto a very large balcony. There are lots of windows in the flat, so we get tonnes of natural light and have views of Stratford, Canary Wharf and North Greenwich from the balcony.
The living room has two sofas and a TV that is linked up to numerous streaming services. The flat also has two bathrooms, one is an en suite attached to James’ bedroom. The other is a main bathroom, to be shared between Jamie and the new flatmate. Very spacious, with available storage.
We have a dishwasher and washer/dryer installed, plus a microwave, fridge/freezer and oven. In the hallway there is also a large storage cupboard, to store suitcases and boxes.
ROOM DETAILS
The room is spacious and fits a kingsize bed, with two bedside tables. For storage there is a chest of drawers, plus wardrobe. There is additional space in the room to fit a desk or additional storage, if you need, as the room unfortunately doesn’t have under-bed storage.
LOCATION & TRANSPORT
We’re located less than a 5 minute walk away from the Canning Town underground station, which is connected to the Jubilee and DLR lines. There are also numerous bus stops right outside the building.
In the immediate area, there are multiple supermarkets (Morrisons, Co-Op and Sainsbury’s a little further away), barber shops/hairdressers, dentists, pharmacies, doctors, takeaways, gyms and shops.
The entrance to the building is located in the back right hand corner of Rathbone Market, which features a small market on Sundays.
We’re eager to find the right person for the room, so if you’re interested, please reach out!
We'll start doing viewings from the first week of July.
