Hey everyone :)
I have an unfurnished room (no bed & desk) available to rent. The current tenant is willing to sell her bed to the incoming tenant, the bed is only few months old. I'm looking for a professional male or female flatmate, who works 9-5 around 25 to 38 to move in from the 1st of May or 20th of May / end of May. Minimum stay is 1 year.
The room is in a cosy warehouse conversion, with exposed brick wall, spread over 2 floors in Canonbury / Islington area. It's located 7 minutes from Dalston Junction / Canonbury, 12 min from Angel and Highbury & Islington. The flat has 2 bathrooms, one of which has a shower (as per the pictures).
Most people in this building are young professionals, including myself, a music producer. I'm really easy going and laidback and I'm looking for somebody who is also chilled and relaxed.
I have a home studio in my room and I work from home making music, this is why I'm looking for someone who works 9-5 and who is not working from home n (once / twice a week should be fine) but it would be ideal to have somebody who works from their office. Please keep that in mind, if you only or mainly work from home this place will not be suitable for you as i have to play music during the day for work purposes.
I'm into synthesizers, vinyl records and electronic music, Kraftwerk, Aphex Twin, Drexciya, Warp Records, Detroit Techno, Ricardo Villalobos and Minimal Techno/House, so if you like these things, then we already have a lot in common. I don't have parties of afterparties here.
Buses 38, 73, 476, 341, 21, 141, 30 and many others are literally 45 seconds walk from the flat, the location is very convenient. You can get pretty much anywhere in Zones 1 and 2 within 40 minutes.
Smoking only outside the building. The room comes to £1055+ for the bills.
Council Tax is £115.5 per month per person Internet is £22 per month per person. Gas + Electricity fluctuates from £60 to £130 per person per month, depending on the season.
Water bill excluded, but that comes only every 6 months and it is usually a small amount.
The flat & room came unfurnished (only with wardrobes), please keep this in mind.
The landlord is a multinational company called Grainger. They require references, proof of employment etc and a deposit (£972.5)+ 1 month in advance (£1055).
