This is a very well-loved house that will love you back! Lots of thriving plants; incense burning daily. Everyone's growing.
The room serves as a conventional spare room: it accommodates friends throughout the year and is rented out in between. It's the perfect comfortable space for anyone in need of short-term accommodation, including those in London for residencies, short courses, long visits etc..
📍 Area
Prime location. 5 mins walk to Canonbury station. 20 mins to kings cross on train or by bus. 5 mins walk to Essex road with bus connections to Central. 5 mins walk to Newington Green Square with bus connections to the North. The flat is located right at the bend where northampton park ends and newington green road begins. So it’s a quiet corner yet seconds away from food spots, fruit and veg shops, bars, butcher, Mother Earth organic stores and green lanes main road. The best pizza in London is a few doors down. There’s a well-stocked newsagent downstairs which is open late and an italian deli opposite. We are close to Clissold park, highbury fields and the new river path. There’s a shrubbery across the street with a basketball court.

2x bedrooms. The available room is the small double. West facing window, the room gets a stunning unobstructed sunset. The windows of the house are original and single glaze – meaning sound and heat insulation is on the lower end. The room is furnished with a double bed, memory foam mattress and mattress cover, open cupboard, curtains. There is a desk and chair in the room.
1x living room. A large sofa for socialising and a small dining table. The living room has a big TV with chromecast: Netflix, Mubi, Iplayer, Shahid TV
1x bathroom with amazing shower pressure!
1x Kitchen – all essential kitchenware, electric hob, electric fan oven, washing machine, Henry hoover, small fridge, nutribullet, coffee grinder, brita®️ water filter, no microwave, no dishwasher
1x outdoor terrace, accessible through the kitchen - its a bit bleak in the winter but gorgeous in the spring/summer

The flat is over 2 floors (no wheelchair access). Access is from the main road.

🧼 Maintenance: our cleaner will come every other Thursday for 4 hours - does a deep clean but does not change your sheet etc. in between cleaning sessions, we have to maintain by cleaning up after using kitchen, bathroom and living room

About me: i’m a non-binary person working in arts and culture. My work focus is on financial management, cooperative economics and building anti-oppressive infrastructures in organisations. I WFH 50% of the time so about 2 or 3 days a week. I invest a lot of attention into body work (physical activities, learning about nutrition and resting). I'm a homebody and I love to socialise and host friends but this is balanced with plenty of solitary downtime.
🐕 About the dog: Lily is a 3 year old shiba inu cat-dog who lives here. she is super friendly, calm, kind and welcoming. She rarely barks and she doesn't go upstairs to the bedrooms- her main quarters are the living room and the terrace.
