Two pals – Hannah (32) and Sophie (34) – are looking for a third housemate to join our lovely home in Canonbury. Sadly, our housemate Emily is moving in with her partner, so we’re on the hunt to find a new addition to the household! The available room is a small double in a modern terrace, located on the first floor at the front of the house.

The house consists of a kitchen/living area on the ground floor with a south-facing garden (green-fingered housemates welcome!). The room is unfurnished, and the bathroom is on the first floor, shared just with Hannah.

There is an option to purchase any of the furniture already in the bedroom if you wish (apart from the double bed).

The house is located 30 seconds from Canonbury Overground (great for those who have a habit of running late!) on a quiet, gated street. The street is parallel to the Overground, so there is some train noise, but the house has double-glazed windows, and the room for rent has an extra layer of soundproofing too, so you hardly hear it!

We LOVE the street/area, with lots of fab pubs, cafés, and green spaces just around the corner. The house is a 5-minute walk to Newington Green and 10 minutes to Dalston and Highbury & Islington, so it’s an amazing location for everything you need.

We’re looking for a female professional in their early 30s who works Monday to Friday. Hybrid working is fine, or someone who goes into the office regularly. LGBTQI+ friendly household.

We’ve always been super happy with the homely and welcoming environment we’ve created in this house, and we’re looking for someone who feels the same! Our home is a calm space where we respect each other’s time but also enjoy doing things together, whether in the house (dinners, binging trash TV on the sofa, etc.) or out and about (theatre trips, galleries, gigs, or down the pub etc.). We’re looking for someone who likes a clean house and is reliable when it comes to payments.

The contract is for 10 months, with the potential to renew in December. You’d be taking Emily’s place on the contract from 9th February, but the room could be available as early as 25th January.

The rent is £1,050 per month + bills (covering electricity, gas, council tax, water, and internet), which are approximately £170 per month depending on the time of year. The deposit is £1,300.
