Large double room in a friendly house of 5!

We have a lovely large double room with a balcony overlooking a front garden available in our house, a 4 minute walk from Canonbury Overground and an 8 minute walk from Highbury & Islington station.

The room:
The room is really nice and large, with a (decorative!) fireplace and comes furnished with a double bed, wardrobe, chest of drawers, shelving, desk, table and chairs. There’s plenty of storage and the balcony looks over our shared private front garden.

The room is available as soon as possible after viewing in January, as our lovely housemate is leaving at the end of the year.

The house:
The house has a large front room with comfy sofas and TV (with Prime, Netflix, BBC etc), a big kitchen with a dining area, shared front garden maintained by gardeners, a private back garden with a barbecue, and 3.5 bathrooms in total between the 5 housemates (2 bedrooms are ensuite).

You will share the main bathroom on 3rd floor (pictured), on the floor above your room with 2 other housemates, Rosie and Rosa. There is also a separate toilet on the ground floor.

The area:
Canonbury is a beautiful leafy area that is incredibly well-connected but just out of the way enough to be quiet. We're just an 8 min walk from Highbury & Islington station at the top of Upper Street. The overground will get you to Dalston in 2 mins, Shoreditch in 9 mins, Hackney Central in 5 mins or London Fields / Broadway Market in 20 mins. If you're heading into the centre, Oxford Circus is just 15 mins away. We have some great pubs and restaurants near us on top of gyms, coffee shops, and lovely Highbury Fields and Clissold Park.

The housemates

Aimee, 30, grew up just north of London in Hertfordshire and works in fundraising for an arts university and gallery. She works from home a few days each week. Loves days out to art galleries and museums, going on short trips around the UK and Europe, swimming in Hampstead ponds, yoga, cooking, and baking. Enjoys reading, painting and knitting to relax when she's at home.

Chris, 35, a Northerner who enjoys cooking and travelling. Started a healthy drinks company, and works managing actors and doing drinks events. Works from home occasionally.

Rosie, 29 and originally from the Highlands, is now working in fashion marketing. During the week she's usually working in the office (wfh on Fridays), but loves making the most of her weekends, normally going for a run around Victoria Park, grabbing a coffee and pastry, doing pilates or reading, or heading to a gallery or museum. She also loves travelling when she gets the chance.

Rosa, 23, is from the states and is studying for her PhD. She works from home 1-2 times a week and loves going to cafes, bookshops, and exploring London’s parks.

We all love living here together and are looking for someone that likes the occasional chitchats in the kitchen, going for a walk together or film evenings. We all have our own schedules, and are often out and about with friends or relaxing in our rooms, but we love a chat when we're in at the same time. Ideally, we want someone that is friendly and considerate, clean and tidy, and is looking for a house that feels like a home. We’re looking for someone who fits in well and will enjoy living here as much as we do!

Bills are not included and are:
£66 per month to the landlord (council tax, water, tv license, fibre broadband).
£42 per month for gas and electricity (usage dependent) paid to Chris.

This is a private let with the landlord so there are no agency fees etc.
