Double room in light, spacious Victorian flat

Hey there! We're two professional women in our early thirties with a bright, cozy room available in our lovely Victorian flat in Canonbury, Islington. Our third flatmate is heading off to India to get married (rude, right?), so we’re looking for someone new to join our home starting 6th November.

The Flat

The room is cozy with lots of natural light. Our current roommate is looking to sell all her bedroom furniture (turns out shipping to India is not cheap!) - she's offering the double bed (which has storage underneath), bedside table, wardrobe, shelving unit, corner bench, and mirror for £150.

While the room has plenty of storage space for your things and could potentially fit a small desk, it's not ideal for a large office space so it's likely better suited for someone who works more from the office than at home.

The flat is spacious, bright, and perfect for privacy. The living room is huge, and there's plenty of natural light all around. The bathroom is shared with one of us, but there's no queue drama, promise! We’ve decked out the flat with furniture, and the large kitchen is fully equipped with everything you could need. Our landlord is super nice and very responsive, so no worries there.

The Location

Our street is green, quiet and super safe. We’re just a 10-minute stroll (7 minute power walk) to Highbury & Islington station and a quick 5-minute walk to Upper Street, where you'll find amazing shops, pubs, and restaurants.

Who We’re Looking For

A professional female who’s clean, respectful, and ideally looking to stick around until at least August 2025.

A Bit About Us

One of us is American and works in communications for a healthcare company; the other is Swiss-French and a film producer. We both travel a fair amount, either for weekend getaways or trips to our respective home countries a few times a year. We have a cat who thinks she's a dog, and we're more about exploring the city than hosting at home. That said, we do enjoy a chill movie night, game night, or birthday gathering now and then!

We’re a low-key duo – one of us works mostly from home on the upper floor where she has her own office space, and the other (your bathroom-mate) splits time between home and the office.
