Description
Two pals – Laura (34) and Soph (35) – are looking for a third housemate to join our lovely home in Canonbury.
Sadly, our housemate Hannah is moving out, so we’re on the hunt for a new addition to the household!
Soph works in advertising in London Bridge. She loves a glass of wine, shite TV, and is in a long-term relationship with ChatGPT. Laura works in fashion in Old Street. She loves a beer, also shite TV, and has an unhealthy obsession with H&M.
The available room is a bright, south-facing double on the first floor at the back of the house overlooking the garden (yes, we have a private garden!). It’s super quiet and gets loads of lovely natural light. The room is unfurnished but comes with two spacious built-in wardrobes, so there’s plenty of storage. You’ll share a bathroom (on the same floor) with Laura.
The house itself is a three-floor modern terrace on a private gated road with plenty of free parking. The open-plan kitchen and living area on the ground floor opens out to a sunny, south-facing garden (green fingers very welcome!).
Location-wise, we’re ridiculously close to Canonbury Overground – just a 2-min stroll – ideal if you’re prone to running a little late! The area is full of fab pubs, cafés, and green spaces, with Newington Green a 5-minute walk away and Dalston and Highbury & Islington just 10 minutes.
We’re looking for a female professional in her early to mid-30s who works Monday to Friday. Hybrid working is totally fine, or someone who goes into the office regularly.
We’ve created a really homely, welcoming space and are looking for someone who’ll fit right in. We respect each other’s time but also love hanging out – whether that’s dinners, trash TV on the sofa, or the odd pub night.
We’re both clean freaks, so ideally you’ll be someone who also likes to keep things tidy!
Rent is £1,200 per month plus bills (around £200, covering electricity, gas, council tax, water, and speedy internet). The deposit is £1,307.
The contract runs from 9 December 2025 to 9 December 2027. We’ve locked in the rent for the full two years to avoid any unexpected increases, so we’re hoping to find someone who’s happy to stay long-term.
