Double room in Islington

We're renting out a good-sized double room in Islington, available from 22 January 2026. Both Highbury & Islington and Canonbury stations are a five minute walk away, so it's in a great location to get almost anywhere in London.

The room is a good size and situated on the ground floor. It is furnished, coming with a double bed, bedside table, clothes rail, desk and two wooden storage cabinets/shelving units.

The house is three stories with a living room, kitchen with outside balcony (limited access to garden below, which belongs to the landlord), large main bathroom and small second toilet.

The rent is £935 a month (exc. bills). Bills vary across the year but we tend to budget around £100 a month for gas, electricity, wifi and council tax (band F).

You'd be living with three other women, so we're looking for another woman to move in. We're all great friends so it's really important for us to meet someone who wants to make this their home and join in with various activities. We also have a cat (Buttons), so being a cat-lover is a must!

About the girls:

Bea (28) is a civil servant. She loves music, going to gigs and pottering around antique shops. When at home, you can usually find her cooking up something delicious or watching TV. Bea has recently adopted Buttons the cat, who is still quite shy but gaining lots of confidence exploring the house.

Marianne (31) works at PlayStation in the brand team. She loves ballet and film, going to the cinema whenever she can. Marianne also loves a night out, whether it's for a casual pint, to watch some live music, or have a dance.

Sarah (31) works in comms at one of the London universities. She loves the gym and the pub equally. She is currently subletting off Charlotte (30) who will move back into the house in May. Charlotte is currently travelling around Asia on a sabbatical but once back can be expected to go back to her usual hobbies of barre classes, listening to Taylor Swift and making delicious vegan meals.

Everyone has really busy social lives but make time for each other whenever possible. We also like to keep the house clean, with a cleaning rota each week.
