Description

Hi there!

I'm leaving London for a few months due to being recently made redundant, so we'd love to find someone to rent our huge spare room.
The ideal renter would be looking for a room ASAP/Jan until April, but we're open to looking at those who might need an extension, or have different dates in mind.
I'm planning to be back in London by end of March & will likely be coming back to the flat to begin the job search (if there's 3 of us living in the flat at once rent will be split 3 x ways).

Full disclosure, I've put the room up at a discounted rate as understand it's a short term let & it's also hard to judge what the bills are. The normal room rent is £1,150 & bills come up to £250+ (water, electricity/gas, WIFI, council tax, subscriptions) but I'm happy to cover the excess after £1,300.
We can also work out an accrued rate based on the total days you stay.
We've added in a £200 refundable deposit, just in case. Our landlord is really flexible overall & doesn't mind if you want to add any furnishings fixtures (hanging pictures for ex).

My partner, Ru, & adorable Pomeranian, Misty, will be staying behind & would love to get to know you!
Ru is 37 he/him & working at a social media start up. He's in the office 3 x days a week & takes Misty in with him.
He used to work as a performer on cruise ships (how we bonded as we both love musicals) & loves going to the cinema, food (pizza), travelling & going to gigs/making his own music. He acts more 28 than 37, really values a clean & tidy space & we're both hugely LGBTQ+ friendly.

Misty is a 7yo Pomeranian/Spitz, but acts 3 & loves people + treats. If you're a dog person our flat would be perfect for you as she absolutely adores new people & having cuddles. No obligation to help with any dog chores, but if you enjoy a dog walk/coffee stop, you'll also be her new best friend!

The Room: The room (& house) is super spacious for a London accommodation. The photos I've attached are in its current state, but by the time you join there'll be a bed frame & a lot of personal items will be removed(guitar/clothes/drawers/pole(!) etc). What will be staying is: double bed, mattress, duvet, pillows, any bedding is also available to you if you don't have your own, desk, chair & black clothes wall rail incl hangers if needed. We also have the same curtain in grey if you prefer. There's also an Amazon Alexa in here which you're free to use.
The room looks onto a lovely Magnolia tree (which will be in bloom by Feb) & is south facing so gets the best of the daylight - so it's a lovely work spot.

The Flat: there's one other room which is Ru's/mine, 1 x bathroom with a bath/shower & huge open plan kitchen, dining room, lounge. The kitchen has amenities such as a blender, air fryer, stove, oven, coffee machine (both for pods & beans), fridge/freezer (we also have a huge industrial freezer downstairs), washing machine etc. We have all the utensils you would ever need, loads of cutlery, pots, pans, pizza cutters etc!
The dining room has a handmade high top wooden table with 8 x bar stools - lovely to work from or have dinner from.
The living space has a smart TV with Netflix, Amazon Prime, Disney+ etc that you're welcome to use while you're staying with us. We also have a record player on hand.
I'm also a massive plant lover (when I don't kill them), so there are a few dotted around.

We also have a lovely large garden for sunny/warmer days - it's admittedly a bit overgrown currently, but Ru usually enjoys chopping it back in the spring/summer months - so you may get a little use out of it!

The Area: De Beauvoir is a gorgeous residential pocket a quick 15min walk from Dalston, Angel or Newington Green. There are abundance of small independent coffee shops, wine bars, delis & restaurants that enhances its charm. There are also a few local celebrities who can be fun to spot.

The photos were taken very quickly in a pre Xmas hurry & all spaces will be tidied/emptied for when you arrive. Some photos are of the space as it was when we moved in so you get the full idea of what there is without our clutter on top!

One last note, I'm vegan & the flat so far has been only vegan/veggie. Totally welcome of anyone's dietaries, but I'd just ask if eating meat products, that items are cleaned well so no residues etc are left!

Feel free to message with any Qs etc - we'd be happy to show you around/get to know you & what you're looking for etc.

We're also council tax band E.
