Hi all!
We are looking for another female housemate to move into our lovely house in Charlton in Greenwich - to move in from 14th September but this is a little bit flexible dependent on circumstance.
Rent is £615 a month plus bills which is usually around £100 a month - including water, electric, gas, council tax, tv license and broadband (this can vary month to month depending on bulk bills, extra bits for the house or if bills go up).
We are both professional women in our 20s and 30s with one of us working in central London and the other freelance. Like many, we both currently have flexible work lives, partially working from home so appreciate a quiet house during the day and generally like to keep the place clean and tidy - we would love to find a housemate who feels similarly. We are both sociable and friendly but respect each others privacy as well.
The room for rent is very spacious, has a double bed, wardrobe, chest of drawers, desk and windows giving the room plenty of natural light. The rest of the room is unfurnished. The room sits in a three bed large Victorian terrace house, with a garden, a lovely fire place and on street (permit) parking. We are lucky enough to live on a lovely quiet residential street and the house is spacious enough for everyone to have their own space.
The house has a well equipped shared kitchen (including dishwasher and washing machine), dining room, living room, shower room and two toilets.
The house is very well connected with just a 5 minute walk to Charlton train station, which has two train lines running through it and trains approximately every 10 minutes to London Bridge (via Lewisham or Greenwich). It's also only approximately 10 minutes by bus to North Greenwich tube station (Jubilee Line). All routes take approximately 15 minutes to get into London Bridge and one change there can get you to Waterloo or Charing Cross within 25 minutes.
Charlton is nestled in-between Greenwich, Blackheath and Woolwich. Within walking distance are cafes, bars, restaurants, cinemas, The 02, parks, supermarkets (24hr Asda and Sainsburys, plus Marks & Spencer / Lidl / Aldi / Co-Op), Clothes shops (Next, TK Max and more), Ikea, and nightlife at Blackheath SE3, Greenwich Village and North Greenwich SE10. There are open spaces (Greenwich Park, Blackheath Common and Charlton Park) all within a short walking distance.
If this sounds like the place for you then please do drop us a message with some more info about you and we’ll be in touch. It’s also worth noting that our landlord does require a reference.
We look forward to hearing from you :)
About us:
Emily is an events professional working in the City. She likes to stay active, so when not working, is often found running or at the gym. She likes spending time with friends out and about but mostly loves a quiet night in watching telly.
Faima is a freelance journalist (who often does shifts with several media publications). She is Muslim, so doesn’t eat pork or have alcohol. She is easygoing and tries to go with the flow, and likes her private time and space, but is open to a natter now and again. She likes to batch cook meals a few days a week. She’s usually not in the house on weekends (usually spending time with loved ones).
