A sociable older person with poor memory and reduced mobility is seeking a Sharer for their home to give them a mix of 15 hours’ help and company each week in exchange for the low-cost accommodation.

This person would like some practical help with picking up shopping, cooking around 4 light meals each week, help putting on TV programmes, diary management and prompts and reminders, ad hoc practical help and friendly company, including accompanying on a few outings such as to a local art gallery or museum. They would really value the friendly reassurance of having someone around their home in the evenings and overnight.

The accommodation on offer is a single bedroom and shared use of the kitchen, bathroom, and sitting room.

The property is in an excellent location just 5 minutes’ walk from South Kensington Underground Station.

The person reads The Times, watches TV – they love watching Wimbledon tennis – and enjoys theatre and art galleries and museums. They live very close to the V&A and the RA, and would also enjoy a visit to the Tate in the company of their Sharer.

As a Sharer you are free to work or study as long as you have enough spare time to give the agreed level of company and support. The ideal Sharer will be a positive, friendly, kind, helpful and reliable non-smoker who ideally shares some of the person’s interests. Due to their hearing very clear spoken English is essential. Some understanding of Dementia would be useful.
