Description
Hi,
Who I am: I’m a current (soon-to-be-ex) flatmate in 103 Chiswick Village who has moved out to pastures new, buying his own little place.
Who is in the flat: We’re a friendly, quiet bunch and I’m sure you’ll make this place a home for yourself in no time. We have an Indian couple (Krishna and Sevrita), Joe (PHD student) and Baron (works for the council) (Baron and I knew each other from a prior house we lived in!)
Other bills/ costs: We have a £200 one-off charge to cover all council tax charges for the full term of your tenancy (so the longer you stay, the cheaper it is per month haha).
Move in from 16/11 onwards!
The room itself: This is on the ground floor, with very large windows facing the village gardens. It’s very spacious with ample storage space (four cabinets’ worth!), and comes with a work desk (I’ll be taking the one you see in pictures, but the landlord supplies his own), dresser. We have 2 bathrooms (one has a shower), the other is simply a toilet and sink combo, and a large living room area with TV, plus a kitchen.
Access to the flat also comes with access to a Chiswick Village group chat, bike shed (cost is £15/ year) and a village-only garden with BBQ equipment. This green space hosts numerous events over the year.
Your closest supermarket is Co-Op but there’s a very big Sainsbury’s near Chiswick Park and the area hosts numerous farmers markets as well. Your closest station is Gunnersbury which is on the District and Overground lines.
The agency, Simple Simba has been quite flexible and amenable and can share WA numbers to a few people there to make your life a tiny bit easier, too.
Happy to share more photos and field any questions that you might have! I look forward to hearing back and getting into a call if that helps 😊
