Hey there!

I'm looking for a housemate for a 2-bedroom flat - available 11th November. I’ve been living here myself for 2 years and I’m looking to continue to live here with someone who’s neurodivergent/disability friendly, communicative, preferably queer/LGBT+, and particularly someone who wants to create a quiet and safe home space to relax in!

Rent + bills (pcm) : £2050 pcm (£1025 each) + bills (split evenly, £140 approx)
Deposit: 5 weeks rent (split evenly between us both)
Tenancy: 1 year agreement (possibility to negotiate a 2 year lease)
Move in date: 11th Nov
Council tax band: E

About me:
I work fairly locally as an engineer Mon-Fri, and am mostly at home the rest of the time. I'm a fairly quiet person and mostly play video games or watch TV in my room, but have my partner over quite often and the odd friend(when they want to make the 'brave' trip out West!). Most of the year I spend my Saturdays and the odd evening playing field hockey, and also enjoy going to gigs in London or festivals during the summer. I generally keep to myself, but also love a bit of a natter over a drink!

Creating a home space:
I generally keep to myself when at home, as I'm usually tired from work or hockey and just like to relax, and prefer a quiet and chill home to come back to. Very welcome to have folks over, just definitely not a party house kinda vibe. I highly value good communication around any issues that may crop up and am always willing to move things around to suit us both.
Being neurodivergent and disabled I have a few preferences around my home environment, mostly around my own belongings, but am always happy to have a conversation about things.
I'm fairly relaxed in terms of cleaning, being aware that time tends to be limited in modern life and we can't always fit in everything we need to do in a day. I'm open to looking at getting a cleaner to come and take some of the pressure of cleaning off our hands.

Description:
Location: The flat is a spacious, bright two bedroom flat in Chiswick. It's in a lovely mansion block of flats that's very well maintained and looked after. The neighbours are lovely and friendly, and the area itself feels very safe and quiet, with the local park just outside the door feeling quite safe and appropriately lit to walk through at night. There is a large Sainsburys just a 10 min walk away, and Chiswick high street a 5-10 min walk away with a plethora of shops and restaurants on.

Flat: The flat has two bedrooms, a living room, and a kitchen, a bathroom with separate toilet and a small spare room. There's plenty of space within the flat, with laminate floors in the hallway/living room, tiles in the kitchen/bathroom and carpet in the other rooms. The flat generally gets a good amount of light in the bedrooms and living room, with the other rooms suffering a little due to them facing into an internal courtyard. There's also a little porch we share with next door and plenty of space downstairs for post and parcels. There's small artificial lawns out the front, and plenty of space for parking and bikes out the back of the building. The Landlord was openly to pets previously. No couples, sorry.

Bedroom: The bedroom is the larger of the two, with plenty of storage space due to the inbuilt wardrobes(which the pictures don't do justice). The flat is unfurnished, so you'll need to bring your own bed/furniture(but other appliances in the kitchen are already sorted). There's plenty of extra storage space in the living room or spare room should it be needed. The living room is fairly unused at the moment, so plenty of potential to create a hang out space, with plenty of natural light, should you want to!

Access info:
The flat is on the first floor, with no lift.
There is 1 step from the outside to the hallway, then two flights of 10 steps up to our floor. There is 1 step into the shared porch which is then to the front door. There are no steps within the flat.
Shower inside of the bathtub, no railings.
Video intercom to front door, but not bell or intercom to porch door.
Small postbox downstairs at chest height. Sometimes parcels are left on floor at porch door.

This is a neurospicy + disability friendly home, so happy to discuss any needs we both might have to ensure we're both comfortable and things are as accessible as possible.
