One Large Double in Friendly Home

Hi everyone!

Our housemate Luke is sadly leaving us to move in with his girlfriend so we’re looking for a new housemate to replace him. The room will be available from early September (move in date negotiable with the landlord).

THE ROOM
The room is a large first floor room with kingsize bed, side tables, desk, cupboards, and plenty of space to add whatever else you like.

THE HOUSE
It's a great house! Big open plan kitchen/dining/living room downstairs. Fully equipped kitchen with big fridge/freezer, dishwasher and washing machine. Two bathrooms on the first floor with top notch showers. Also has a good sized garden, including a BBQ, outdoor seating, a shed and plenty of space to sunbathe and exercise.

THE HOUSEMATES
We're a group of four (Alice, Camilla, Jack and Sonya) in our late twenties/early thirties, and all living in the house through spareroom. We get to choose new housemates that move in which means we all actually like each other! We've moved in at different times over the past few years and all really love the house. Normally there's a different mixture of people in each night as we all have our own interests. A few of us are usually out do sport/running/cycling over the weekend but enjoy a nice cosy night in with wine and cocktails or house meals!

OUR NEW HOUSEMATE
We're looking for a sociable person who wants to get involved and spend time as a group, ideally around our kind of ages and with a broadly 9-5ish job. We'd like someone who is relatively tidy - we don't need a neat freak, just someone that can clean up after themselves. Ideally looking for someone around a similar age (27-32) and another guy to move in to keep the gender balance and save Jack from being totally outnumbered!

THE LOCATION
10 minutes walk from the nearest tube station - Clapham Common, as well as the actual common, and the bars and restaurants on the high street. The house is on a quiet residential road with parking available on the road outside (with a permit).

THE MONEY
The room is available for £1100 a month and that's for absolutely everything. Includes gas, electricity, water, council tax, broadband, Sky TV, TV licence. And a weekly cleaner!

The house is owned by a private landlord so there aren't any agency fees. And we can contact the landlord directly if anything ever needs fixing in the house. There's no formal reference process but they'll probably want to meet/speak to potential housemates before they move in.
